He'll screw up now and then, but I designed the character the way you describe him. We have enough angst-filled young characters around and I wanted someone different as my protagonist.

This story and Hunting Season were my ways of dealing with tragic events soon after they took place. Because the long stories are written so far in advance, it's hard to include new developments in them.

It's been fun writing CJ as he ages. A bit older now, he faces different challenges and reacts to them with a bit more maturity.

I try to limit myself to the minimum daily requirement of Cliffhangers. I think I might have been inspired while writing this book. LOL

It's been almost 10 years since Trip wrote that article; maybe it's time I revisited what those kids are up to. As for Chipper, Bradley, and Patrick, the three of them will be around in the future.

Giving them a pied-à-terre in Manhattan offered me the opportunity to use NYC the same as DC---and interesting background for whatever action I throw at them. They'll all be back on a regular basis. -
CJ's loyal to a fault and much more so to his brother. There should have been no doubt he'd help. He may have a few choice words at another time, but at the moment he's focused on helping.

As I mentioned before, to this day I'm still revealing details about the house. CJ's mounted a campaign to keep Brad sane and Tammy was the latest tool. More is coming.

Just married, remodeling and old house, and now a baby on the way. I think I've turned CJ and Owen into a typical millennial couple. LOL

Thanks, Albert. CJ and Owen complement themselves well. CJ can be impulsive and Owen, through nature or training, is a bit more cautious. It's an aspect of their relationship I continue to explore.

This trip was inspired by one I took. The countryside's as beautiful as I describe. I did eat something other than lobster rolls. LOL

Gina met CJ while he was involved in the 2016 campaign and showed she was politically savvy. She's someone good to have around during a campaign.

This was one of my favorite chapters in the book. I'm too old to drool, @astone2292; the dentures might slip out. Oh, wait, I don't have dentures. After the way he dealt with Aiden at the hospital, Dustin moved up on my list of favorite characters. Casey's always been up near the top. Y'all remember that train I mentioned before? We just added more cars to it.

Welcome aboard, Straycat. I'm repeating myself, but the location's an important character in the series. The protagonists might be based in DC, but NOVA and the entire DMV are featured. Hell, I'm writing a story set 10 years after Summer, and the last paragraph I wrote this morning referenced the Nature Conservancy's headquarters in Arlington. My cast is huge, but I constantly reintroduce the characters for the benefit of readers like me with short-term memory issues. LOL Most are a bunch of smartass guys with good hearts and at times unorthodox ways of dealing with issues. Hope you enjoy and leave me a comment now and then to let me know what you think.
