  1. Unfortunately, I can't use the Jan 6 investigation, Trump's announcement, Elon, or Kanye yet. I was going to skip writing about the fall and winter of 2022, but I may have to work some details in a story. For now, I'll pick on Rubio and DeSantis
  2. A little upscale? My brother's way too upscale by family standards. Years ago, his father in law bought condos for each of his four children in the same building he bought the penthouse in. Combo hotel/condo across Water Tower. He and his wife sold it when they settled in New Jersey for a few years, and bought this place after he was laid off a landed a job in Chicago. The man's good at what he does and has been successful. He's the CEO for a national sub-prime lender these days.
  3. The wedding schedule was inspired by one I attended back in 1981. A fraternity brother married a wealthy New Orleans woman and the entire weekend was a whirlwind. Of course they will. They'll blame CJ for Russia and Ukraine fighting! In Everhope, I had him tangle with a Fox reporter. Not sure when I'll get around to writing the story, but him, Owen, and Liebe will be in New York in August 2022. They'll stop by NBC, ABC, and CNN (the networks they have friends at, for short interviews. Mostly to promote CJ's upcoming book. I want him to tangle with Tucker Carlson, but haven't figured out exactly when or how. When Biden appoints him ambassador to Cuba might be the best time, but that's two years away and I'm impatient.
  4. I wish I could be as fast as CJ when having tense conversations. My replies aren't always as sharp as the ones I think off later.
  5. Coming soon for PS5, CJ's Adventures. Follow along as he beats up bikers, aims a gun at a neo-nazi, and shoots a kidnapper. Unlock the proper level and you can have his brother beat up a Turkish boxer and a drunk Englishman. Rated M for violence, adult language, tobacco, alcohol, and drug use, and not wearing helmets when riding motorcycles. A higher level will let us play when his daughter kicks a bully in the gonads.. LOL
  6. Great to hear from you! Glad to see you survived last week's storms; my brother and his family escaped the night before it hit, and they said O'Hare was a zoo. They live in Winnetka. I didn't know you'd lived in DC! Back when I wrote that passage, my characters spent a lot of time in the Georgetown-Foggy Bottom area. These days, I've switched to Capitol Hill and I'm having to discover all new interesting places for them to hang out in. I have a couple more in the story I'm currently writing.
  7. Did you notice Harley got a mention? I miss the guy. I said I created Paul with this wedding in time, and I made sure he could keep up with CJ and his other friends. Even at a place like Georgetown, jocks are going to be partiers and troublemakers. They're just a little smarter than the average football player.
  8. My pleasure. I've been looking forward to today since the last story finished posting.
  9. Repeating my advice, check the CJ thread out. You'll also find a picture of CJ and Owen around the time of the wedding.
  10. I bailed him out the next morning. Nearly 30 years after that event, we still give him crap about it.
  11. Happy to provide a fix. LOL For a list of potential stories coming this year, take a look at the CJ thread in the promoted authors discussion forum.
  12. Glad I could make the beginning of the new year interesting. Jay's fall from grace was partially inspired by Rudy Giuliani and his efforts to overturn Biden's win. This may not lead to Fanning being disbarred, but it could hurt his reputation and his legal practice. His drinking aggravates and already sketchy attitude.
  13. Good to have you on board. We'll meet Molly's brother (and Paul's sister soon enough. Yep. Friday's will once again be posting day. Only 5 more sleeps before the next one.
  14. I'm sure you knew I'd google the place. Very nice!
  15. 2016, 2018, and 2020 were all significant to CJ's growth. Clinton's campaign, marriage, and fatherhood in order. I envisioned the summer of 2022 being just as important in establishing relationships that will bear fruit in the future. I highlight those made connections over the remaining chapters.
  16. I've written a bunch of weddings, and I can't help but inserting a little drama in them. @Reader1810 wasn't thrilled when I had the groomsmen tackle CJ and Owen to the ground at the end of their ceremony, but I explained I wasn't used to calm (read boring weddings. At least not after my youngest brother got arrested at the end of the middle bro. He was wearing a tuxedo for his mug shot.
  17. CJ's learned throwing punches isn't always the best idea; he leaves punching drunks waiting in line to his brother. His sharp tongue will be the best weapon in the future.
  18. Thanks, Chris. Let's see if I can keep the streak going. Only 365 days until the next January 1.
  19. I've followed along and most morning I smiled when I saw how many chapters you'd read overnight. Thank you for all the reactions, and I'm glad you've enjoyed my efforts. At some point, you should branch off and read the spinoffs. The do offer additional info on CJ and Owen. Happy new year.
  20. I promise no burnings. Well, maybe some marshmallows. Happy 2023, Gary. Te deseo un buen año.
  21. I echo that!
  22. From a hospital bed to divorce court? LOL We'll find out where he's headed in the next chapter.
  23. LMAO Yeah... weddings. I married CJ off early, but for most of his contemporaries will be tying the know once they've graduated from college. There's one more coming during the summer of 2022, with an entirely different political flavor. The next one takes place in Michigan with a bunch of liberals. LOL There's a wedding planned for November 2027 and another one in June 2028. Let's see if I get around to writing those.
  24. It's so damn good to have you commenting. I wouldn't worry about warnings as long as you keep your political comments to what's in the story. Anybody gives you crap, you let me know. We'll hear about Mrs. Fanning's reaction to her husband's actions in the next chapter.
  25. Can you believe I posted that almost 5 years ago? Although the scene was conceived as a way of showing CJ's involvement with athletics and his social calendar. When I created Paul I knew I'd be writing his wedding. I even mentioned his family's business because it would fit in with CJ's life path. Yes.I do plan ahead. LOL
