  1. César asks for family time as a birthday present, so Brett charters the sailing mega yacht Flying Circus for a vacation. Cruising the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain, César celebrates his 50th, and Owen his 35th. While the adults enjoy the white-glove service, Liebe, Roosevelt, and Jefferson Abelló keep them on their toes.
  2. Baked Alaska at 21 in NYC. LOL you do realize I have a few stories to draw from, right. I rarely repeat myself, but one of my guys has a fixation with lamb, so I've used that protein a couple of times. Or Key Lime pie at Joe's in SOBE.
  3. LOL I think our characters have differing palates. For the record, that was comfort food they were having: Meat and potatoes with cheese. There's an all white lunch described in the same story. I don't want to give more away, but the accompanying cocktail was a white sangria with apples and white grapes and strawberries
  4. You may not know this, but one of my MCs owns a winery in Australia. Wine pairings are common in my stories.
  5. @astone2292 and @kbois you have no idea what you're talking about. Y'all have don't know what types of food I've written about. Should you be interested in a real comparison, you'll need to read all 32 stories in the 4 intertwined series. A tad under 1.25 million words. We can compare how to serve slimies. LOL I respond well to whistles and hollers. Can you stand at least a street block away so I can acknowledge you individually when I ride by? I'll even fluff the gray chest hair for you. Off to lunch.

Big fat weenie? You been peeking in my window again?
  7. You're using someone with diminished mental capacity to portray your thoughts? Interesting... I happen to agree with Mrs. G, private conversations should be kept private.

LMFAO You may want to consider reading the first 3 chapters of my next story they're all from your Liebe's POV.

I want side by side pictures with Harley Wilkinson!
  11. Wasn't I just telling you something about guys whistling at me when I ride the Harley shirtless? Come to Daddy...

I smell begging, coercion, and arm twisting
  13. @kbois Actually, I rarely write sex scenes these days. And when I encounter them in stories, I skip right over them if I even bother to finish reading. A suggestion of what's to come or what recently happened is often better. Someone once told me they were a gay fiction author, not a gay erotica author. One thing I've noticed, which was true with me, is newer authors play much more emphasis on sex than more seasoned writers. If a writer feels they need sex scenes for their books to be popular, it suggests to me they're not that good anyway. As for including history in my stories, that's been part of what I write from the beginning. Even though my tales are usually fairly current, I think they qualify as historical fiction. I mean, although I wrote about same sex marriage being legalized soon after it happened, by now it's history. Just remember this is not a competition. Those who focus heavily on metrics I suspect are insecure about their writing. I don't care how many reaction, comments, or reviews I get; someone will always get more. I prefer to concentrate on writing interesting stories that leave readers asking for more. READERS, THAT IS NOT A BLANK CHECK TO BEG FOR LONGER CHAPTERS OR MORE FREQUENT POSTINGS

Interestingly, Mrs. G and I were discussing author collaborations recently. I've borrowed characters from others, and my own have appeared in several stories. Each time the involved authors sought permission and provided guidance. These collaborations, even more co-authoring stories, can be tricky. @WolfM skillfully incorporated some of my characters and locations into Embers, but I wasn't about to have CJ & Co bump into a bunch of lycan. I solved the problem by having a character read Wolf's story while on vacation. I also borrowed from Jack Scribe without permission because he passed away before I even thought of borrowing this one guy. I hope he would have approved. I'm open to interactions, but if someone insisted on using any of my guys, and I didn't feel comfortable, I'd deny permission. But that's me. I don't react well to being cornered and can lash out. I've written a few characters based on individuals who've pissed me off. Not that I would ever do that to you @Gary L LOL
  15. I'm flattered. What a nice thing to read first thing in the morning. Trying not to bore readers (and myself) by writing the same story repeatedly with different names and locations, I strive to vary each one, exposing my characters, readers, and myself to new situations and adventures. @chris191070 is a part of the family by now. He and some other wonderful followers encourage me to try new things and forgive me when they don't always work. Interesting you mention food, Chris. There may be mentions of interesting dishes in my next story, and yesterday I ordered (ok, my characters ordered) some great stuff for lunch at the Cfe at the Chanler at Cliff Walk. My characters will continue to travel frequently, giving us the chance for sightseeing and enjoying different cuisines. Great idea to interview a reader, Aaron! Good job.

Yeah... read those and that's what made me think of Wells' book.

Okay, still a bit lost, but less so. Fantasy Island meets The Island of Dr. Moreau. So, a cervida is a humanoid deer, eh?

Wound up at the doctor this morning. Negative tests for flu and Covide, so we're going with the vaccine reaction. She said I should be back to normal in a day or so.

Not done, still 3 to go and I need to read this one again. I got a flu shot at the end of the wee and spent the weekend in a fog thanks to the reaction. I've had the flu for 48 hours! Feeling a little better this morning, let's see if my brain decided to join my body in trying to function normally
  20. LMAO - Nope. Haven't written anything this convoluted since. I wanted to emulate TV shows and music videos that cut between scenes rapidly and this was the result. When I posted the story, the second one was already written, so the wait was not too long. It'll take several chapters to unravel this mess; let me know what you think. I love reading what newcomers to the series have to say.
  21. Our humidity dropped precipitously after the hurricane passed and the lack of sunshine made it cooler in the mornings the past few days. I had to put on a t-shirt when I went for a walk before sunrise.
  22. You're welcome. Overcast and rainy earlier and more on the way. Couch potato day.

    Chapter 1

@Mrsgnomie Weren't you and I discussing how some authors thrive on metrics to the point of begging? The craving to accumulate reactions and comments is strong in this one. We may need to consider an intervention. @kbois Impatient much? I haven't even finished reading all the damn stories. There's also the fact that since I edited the story, it's a bit more involved to craft worthy comments. Plus, all that wordinness left me trying to catch my breath.

Wow, that was a lot of new stuff to take in. Not sure I got it all.
  25. He was one of the protagonists in @Parker Owens story Double Concerto.
