You mean the red one? Or the green one? What if I pick the wrong one and everything in my computer gets erased? All those stories... maybe I should wait until I'm sure.
Damn, Erik, at least give me a couple of weeks to catch my breath. Keep an eye on my profile page; I'll be changing the banner to the one for the next story soon.
Not that many in my stories these days. Frequent use dulls the senses, requiring higher doses to achieve the same level of satisfaction. Wait! Sorry about that, I thought I was writing about substance abuse.
No writing new stuff for me today, I'm enjoying this too much. Some authors can write faster than I do and I guess they want to get their stuff out quickly since they have a constant supply of new material. It takes me a long time to get my stories to a point I'm happy with them. If I posted any faster, months would go by with me posting nothing. I'm on track to publish something every month this year.
Halfway through publishing this story, I had to go back and check the date I posted that blasted comment by the reporter. I was honestly surprised it would be 3 years before I described it. Probably a bit too long. I won't go that far again.
You made me laugh so hard it turned into a coughing fit.
Guilty as charged. The atmospheric comments were written exactly for that purpose, to delay the outcome and make readers chew their nails a bit more. I did say I've been trying to improve how I build tension in chapters.
I've been rooting for a South Beach-Castro Street finals. Fabulously festive, I'm sure.
Both teams have ownership and management who are big supporters of social causes and the LGBTQ community.
It's tough to even write Uvalde... I'll deal with it eventually the way I've dealt with other hard situations. I'll write something.
Thanks for the praise. I honestly agonized over this chapter. Even more than over the ones with the Russian. Both are not my usual fluffy, happy stuff or my social injustice inspired ones. I'm ecstatic with the response.
the world is more PC and unicorn and rainbows each day, and I'm not sure it's a good thing. Sometimes a little though love can work wonders. Okay, I'm gonna stop now before I go into full-fledged rant mode. But trust me, some of this will be part of a future CJ rant.
It was also an excuse to mention a couple of things I didn't have the right spot to mention before. Pascal's mask and the stone are amazing. I hoped my mentioning them might inspire some readers to google them.
As I said, I agree with the policy. If I had posted the epilogue at the same time as this chapter, I very much doubt we would have had the great comments readers have left in this chapter.
No need for you to familiarize yourself with what I've done, but CJames has been mentioned a few times in the comments for this chapter. Seems I kept something hanging for 3 years, and I finally cleared up the matter. LOL
I'll be watching the Miami HEAT-Boston Celtics playoff basketball game tonight. Considering how crappy my team's played the past couple of games, I may be slightly intoxicated by halftime. I don't enjoy my boys losing and I may have to drown my sorrows. Let's see how I feel tomorrow.
More than one chapter in 24 hours? Talk to @Myr I've posted a penultimate chapter and an epilogue together before, but I had permission from Cia. At least it sounded like permission. They've cracked down since then and I sort of agree. I may have done it once or twice, but I've noticed authors abusing the leniency.
So, whats your preference? A cliffie every chapter with a quick response or an occasional one with long wait periods? LOL
