I've never done drag, but if it'll help bring Mawgrim over to the dark side, I'm game. And damn right I'm Farrah! My hair tosses will be fierce. But I want bigger ta tas.

Moi? You lumping me in with those two femme fatales? Okay. That's a compliment in my book. Ladies, let's have a chat with Mawgrim. We must teach him the proper way to torture thrill readers with proper endings. Why waste the opportunity when a cliffhanger could be so much fun?

And we know who the US president he'll be dealing with is. I pity poor Will. LOL -

csr June CSR Feature: Dolphin Delivery by Carlos Hazday
Carlos Hazday commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Having grown up in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Miami, the ocean's been a fixture in my life. My love for sea creatures, particularly marine mammals, matches Cia's. The fact I have 3 dolphins adorning my body should give you an idea of how deep my affection for those animals runs. Over the past few years, I've tried to vary what I write, stretching myself, and trying new things. When I introduced a little girl into my main series, I decided to try writing stories for her. Setting them in the Florida Keys, an environmentally sensitive region, provided latitude to explore multiple areas. Choosing dolphins as the subject of the first one was a no-brainer. The other three stories in the series focus on beach pollution, sea turtles, and coral reefs. I have half-a-dozen ideas for future ones and the next one will be published on Earth Day 2023. Hope you enjoy Dolphin Delivery. Leave me a comment on it, or come back at the end of the month for a group discussion. I'll try to answer all your questions. Thank you for featuring my little tale, @Cia! -
Thank you! Although I write mostly for myself, readers enjoying what I share is right up there in importance. I'm happy you find my work interesting enough to follow along and let me know. If you haven't read them, give my Earth Day Stories series a try. It's related to CJ in a roundabout game. The first one in the series happens to be featured in this month's CSR feature. Give it a go and let me know what you think.

@Simon41 Glad you enjoyed it! You are, I think, the second person who claims they felt the ending was rushed, and I honestly don't know why. I tried to tie up all significant loose ends in the epilogue and crafted the ending scene so CJ would be in the air on his way to the US. The title of the story is the first clue this is about their time in Mexico. Period. Anything else is irrelevant. In Cadet, I wrote about Ritch finding out what took place and joining the family in Miami. Miami's in Florida not in Mexico and therefore whatever the heck happened there is not pertinent to CDMX. Hell, I also wrote about CJ being a speaker at the Academy and the family being there for the graduation, but that doesn't belong in this story either. The events in Mexico will be part of their lives. FOREVER. I'm sure if I write more CJ stories, there will be mentions of the kidnapping. The reference to Ukraine I added the week that chapter went live. LOL Since I had a Russian in the story, it felt like a good fit, and it was easy to sneak it in. I did the same during Ethan's explanation of his new assignment. I'd written a generic version and updated it with references to businesses opposed to women losing control over their bodies to the state. What do you mean about the Earth (Day) Stories? I've been publishing one on April 22 every year. There are a ton of CJverse stories I'd love to write, but time is an issue. Tank and Harley are atop my list of spinoffs, but I have no idea when. I also have a couple of spin ins I'd love to do. Lets see how the rest of the year shapes up, but I'm done writing the giant stories. One shots and limited chapters from now on.

The Drop in Centre
Carlos Hazday replied to Mikiesboy's topic in Mikiesboy's Drop in Centre's Topics
It was already raining when I woke up at 5. I think it's going to be a very wet weekend. I'm glad I hit Publix yesterday, I can stay in and not worry about a topless Jeep or a motorcycle in this weather. LOL -

@kbois Are you getting as wet as we are? -
LMAO - At least I don't abandon stories entirely!

That's it! I'm raising my prices...

You want humor too? Damn you guys are demanding.

When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
Carlos Hazday commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
Hey! I'm nice to my readers. I may be slow revealing details at times, but what's a couple of years between friends?- 151 comments

Let's be honest here; I'm cheap. And easy!
-
Yeah, but it was different stories. This is the longest between chapters within one story!

Most of that collection's stored in Everhope's carriage house at the moment. Can you imagine his kids, as teens, discovering a treasure trove of vintage t-shirts? My nieces frequently ask me for my old ones.

LOL - the comment sounded as if there were more than one missing backstories. As for Northman, he's inconsequential. CJ tried to get along, but he probably closed the door on the man permanently.
-
Psst, buddy, over here... I've got a hot CJ chapter if you're interested. Never been seen by anyone so it's a bit more expensive than the usual. Interested?

As with most stories, there comes a time for the end. CDMX was conceived as a chronicle of their time in Mexico. Now that it has come to an end, the story must too.
-
Thank you. I've made the change.
-
I'm in new territory with this story; I've never waited a year between chapters before! LOL
-
Linc will be invited to dinner at Everhope as soon as CJ and Owen return to D.C. I may have CJ install a temporary camera in the first floor half-bath. For security purposes, of course.
-
Thank you. With this book more than previous ones, I wanted to end it without dragging out the final scenes. We reached a natural breaking point and it was time to stop. We'll pick up the story with them in Florida at some point in the future.
-
I'm fervently hoping I get a reply to my question about what backstories I didn't clear up!
-
THANK YOU! My style has evolve but the basic desire to write a positive tale remains. CJ ain't perfect, but he's a lot better than most of our politicians. Let's hope running for office doesn't soil him too much.
