Thank you! You mean to say I broke new ground? It's a lovely day for that stroll...
-
Too bad... thirty can be scary, but it's really nothing. Trust me. Now that I've double that age I know I was just an immature kid at the time.
-
Damn! I wrote two concerts for this book. I need a break. As for Peter, apparently he's apparently settled into his job. And I'm sure he realized the relationship his client has with CJ and Owen takes priority over most anything else.
-
CJ and Chipper will be friends forever. We know in 2040/2041 they'll be rivals to see who's more popular. Pssst - Chipper wins thanks to his international following.

Like I already mentioned, there's a piano back in Washington waiting for her. But last time I saw Liebe, she was playing castanets...
-
Is that based on personal experience? There's a piano back in Washington, maybe lessons would help her forget about a drum kit. I made a big deal out of 3 CJ birthdays, but this is the first of three stories where I'll help a couple of other characters celebrate.
-
I do too, but I couldn't keep up. How're you gonna handle the groups. Some might even include women! <gasp>

Glad you enjoyed it, Theo!

I should have been that lucky. The guy I was dating dumped my ass 2 days after returning form Key West. My goal was to provide a little justification for both CJ's and Peter's actions. The former can be insensitive while not meaning to, and the latter has that damn Sequoia parked on his shoulder because he was bullied at a younger age. They find a balance in their relationship... CJ restrains himself a bit and Peter learns to give back. Amazing what compromise and dialogue can accomplish. Scary how alike we think at times. I outlined something where Liebe was pissed at the Australian ambassador in the US, threw a party, and invited the entire embassy staff except the ambassador. Not sure I'll use it, but you never know.

House parties with live music were always the best!

Why, you little troublemaker. LMAO I know everyone's missing him, so Steven returns in the next chapter.

We now have an idea of where Chipper will be for the next year or so. I think the next time we bump into him is November 2023 when he celebrates his birthday with a concert at the Air Force Academy. Unless I decide to write about his whole tour, which I don't think I have the stomach for. All those late nights at my age aren't a good idea.

Thanks, Tor.

Three! Liebe's was 2 weeks before. I haven't done much with birthday celebrations recently, but coming up I bring to life parties for Cesar and for Owen 2 days later. Gotta celebrate all my Taurus men!

What did everyone do to celebrate their 30th? Does anyone remember? I spent a couple of days with friends in Key West. CJ and Peter will work together in the future. I think Peter's figured out even if CJ's an ass at times, there's zero malice behind his words.

I enjoy writing Chipper concerts. And I love showing the different paths he and CJ take to achieve popularity. If he's playing Vegas when The Agean reopens, one thing comes to mind. ROAD TRIP!

Although it did not come as a surprise, CJ found the note taped to his apartment’s front door amusing. In both English and Spanish, it asked for quiet due to a TV interview being recorded. He slipped off his shoes and carried them while silently padding toward the kitchen. A smiling Owen leaned against the doorframe, watching the proceedings in their living room. Their kiss was brief and quiet. CJ discarded his footwear, coat, and briefcase, dropping them on one of the kitchen island s

petulant - Word of the Day - Thu May 19, 2022
Carlos Hazday commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
And that group would be old white-haired dudes? Love the word. I've used it a couple of times in stories. -
You realize CJ and Owen's 25th wedding anniversary and both their fiftieth birthdays will take place while they live in the White House? I'd love to be invited to one of those celebrations. I know the media called CJ's the party of the decade.
-
That list of events came from a spreadsheet! I'll keep the plot twists secret for now, that story will probably not see the light until next year, but I'll say CJ and Owen's wedding led to the one they attend in Newport. THAT IS NOT A CLIFFIE!

I think I mentioned something in an early chapter about language hints being shared with them during orientation sessions prior to the move. If you think regional accents can help pinpoint where someone's from in the US, it's even more so in Latin America. I recall talking to a Mexican woman at a swimming/diving venue at the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. She tried to guess where I was from based on my accent and failed until I pantomimed smoking a Cigar and went heavy on Cuban colloquialisms. My two nieces grew up in Miami, had Spanish speaking caretakers while kids, and had my parents around to speak the language with. The still have a slight accent. My nephews are at least a decade younger, grew up in New Jersey and now live in Chicago. They're both fluent (my brothers and sisters-in-law insisted on it) but their accent's more pronounced. I envision CJ and Owen's kids sounding like them. Pups are the best stress relievers!
