Afternoon Bertie we're waiting. Waiting to see when and under which circumstances we're going to be lockdown... Me I'm good. Done with my classes for today and having a little snack. This morning I had an appointment with my endocrinologist, all is good. She said to get down to 2 pills of Metformin per day instead of 3 to see if I'll feel better 🤞🏻 Though at the hospital I had a bit of a moment. Instinctively I went to the 3rd floor aka the oncology floor instead of the 1st and crossed path with an old man in a bed and yeah it was the first time I went back to this hospital since my mom died there and I got suddenly overloaded with emotions for a bit. How are you and Steve? Having fun rolling in the snow?

Tomorrow morning I'm meeting with the anesthesiologist for monday surgery. The reality of it all is now getting to me. I'm not really stressing but I think I'm only realizing it's not nothing to be totally put under.

Here too things are not improving and the english and south African variants are worrying. There's a high risk/chance? of a third lockdown... the biggest question is either or not the schools will close. It was really damaging for kids last year and officially schools are not a source of clusters but in my aunt's town there was over 30 positive cases all from the school. The town organized a big test campaign and no one out of the school was positive... France seems to have the same problems with the vaccines. Lot of people booked an appointment but it had to be canceled due to not enough vaccines... Stay safe

This makes me thinks of my grandma. Often we would arrive late evening and she would be eating soup and salad and kissing her cheeks I'd say "ugh you've got salad breath" she loved lot of shallot in her vinaigrette for her salad. I miss her so much.
