I recently dipped my toes into the Mystery Genre and let me tell you, I have a whole new appreciation for what it takes to write one of these. It is a completely different way of writing, and requires some impressive skills. Skills the authour's above have and display with their amazing books. Each of them are inspirational, and I want to thank those authours for their advice and guidance when I was writing mine. This site is a true community, and the lessons I learned from this journey are highly valued. And the kind words will stay with me. If you haven't, I encourage you to read some of these, they are truly amazing!

You're welcome. And I just finished episode 24 today... so lots to go. Season two is fun. There's a three parter "The Wrath of Karen" coming up. I also have planned another longer tale "The Search for Tweek" Which is in the planning stage. I am not sure how I want to structure a third season... I might take a break from it after TSFTweek

The Execs over at Paramount+ figured out a way to shove more ad space into an episode.

I do like how much Peter has grown up in the past few books from Line through to this one. And Barnaby the Dragon is a direct nod to @chris191070

Someone should give JJ-Abrams that note. At least they won't die of Beige-overdoses

Captain Hollis floated in a rare, untroubled state of unconsciousness. For the first time in what felt like a grueling, infinitely expanding eternity, his dreams were not populated by Amazonian cannibals, sentient compost monsters, or the crushing, existential despair of the Zodiac’s corporate beige carpeting. He was warm. The surface beneath his aching back did not feel like a hardened slab of recycled polymer; it felt like a cloud, yielding, supportive, and impossibly luxurious. The ambient ai

22:00 – The Palace Motor Pool, Eastern Wing The heavy, fire-rated steel doors of the palace motor pool offered a brief, deceptive illusion of sanctuary as Andrew pulled them shut, the heavy deadbolts engaging with a definitive, metallic thud that temporarily severed them from the chaotic, burning corridors. Inside, the air was entirely different. It was cool, subterranean, and thick with the heavy, industrial odors of refined motor oil, cured vulcanized rubber, and the faint, sw

I just needed a way to cleanse my brain after the heaviness of Blackwater. Something dumb and fun... and let's face it Tweek is awesome in sauce.

The quiet in the medical bay of the Zodiac was absolute, save for the faint, rhythmic dripping of a leaky condensation valve somewhere behind the beige bulkhead. Guy stood entirely still in front of the cracked mirror mounted above the bio-sink. He did not blink. He did not breathe. He just stared at his hands. For the past week, those hands had emitted a pulsating, highly radioactive teal bioluminescence that cast harsh, undersea shadows across everything he touched. It had been a terrify

They're each other's vaguely wriggling blob shaped thing at this point. Becky is a tragic figure, but Tommy's a part of the family now, and Will protects him and raises him

I was reading about the fall of Saigon, and the fall of the Cambodian Capital during the Khmer Rouge. Where Embassies were often the last bastions to fall in a collapsing order. The French Embassy in Cambodia has an especially tragic history, the brave souls of the French men and woman that protected it and gave shelter to those that they could, before ultimately being forced to give them up in the face of Pol Pot's demands. These buildings are fortified for a reason.

There were so many mistakes made and lessons learned in Libya about Embassy design. Lessons learned the hard way I fear. West doesn't screw around, he has zero time for politics and bureaucrats.

21:05 – The Palace, Eastern Service Corridors, Tripoli The suffocating, grease-slicked heat of the abandoned palace kitchens finally gave way to a labyrinthine network of narrow, unadorned service corridors, but the transition offered absolutely no relief. The air in the eastern wing was heavy, stagnant, and thick with the terrifying, pervasive stench of burning diesel, ruptured plaster, and the coppery tang of fresh blood. The power grid had completely failed following the initial mortar

Guy's still trying to figure out that he's actually a person as far as Hollis is concerned. And that takes some adjustment.

The bridge of the Zodiac had undergone a distinct, deeply unsettling shift in its atmospheric dynamic. For the first several weeks of their doomed voyage, the command deck had been a sterile, beige monument to corporate utilitarianism and sheer, unadulterated panic. Now, it resembled a bizarre, avant-garde theater production that had entirely run out of funding. Captain Hollis sat in the command chair. He was currently wearing the red velour frock coat he had signed out during their disastr
