  1. Ahhhhhh -- None. They're all girls based on Rachel Maddow.
  2. Depression can really be a bottomless pit. Holidays can easily become difficult. The past 15 years had been bad for me for more than one reason. My doctor got me hooked up with our county mental health which was a real jump start for me and a real awakening also. I was lucky to get a doctor who was ease to 'connect' with. A few prescriptions have been an incredible plus. It at least kept me far away from bridges. Mental health care can be a major benefit to many people who tend towards depression. Mental health care is not a bad thing, as some people discard even the thought of it. It is there for you and it does help if you're open to it and at a place in time that it could be beneficial to you. My two cents worth and hope that everyone battling depression during this holiday season will consider these thoughts.
  3. Graphics for those unfamiliar with goats and cliff hanging. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/glanceview/128271/goats-climb-near-vertical-dam-wall.glance
  4. I was in the choir during high school and loved the Christmas concert, but we were nothing compared to the 'Libera' boys choir. They are nothing short of magnificent. I can watch their videos for hours! Thanks for sharing.
  5. The immediate problem with this approach is the need to read the story BEFORE you can assume it -- has been finished -- has not been finished -- or you just DON'T know. I've been there - done that -- enough to know that I now read NOTHING that I know is unfinished! The down side of this approach is that if an author doesn't state, in some fashion, that the story IS finished -- then I just don't read it. My lose maybe in some cases, but I am tired of reading a story only to be left hanging. I read for enjoyment and to pass time. At 73 I have earned the right to pander myself *smiles from ear to ear* and read what I want -- when I want. But it must be finished first!
  6. ???? Dude, what are you talking about? I must have missed something ~~
  7. The videos came through just fine! What an awesome adventure it must be cruising on that beautiful ship. WOW!!!
  8. Sometime back I had asked about the usage of that/than. I had been reading stories that were using that, when I would have expected the usage of than. Those who replied wanted an example and of course couldn't find one. Over time I have seen the same thing a number of times but didn't submit them to the topic. So today I find it again and decided to pursue my quest when I found this example. However this example may have been produced properly by the brain, but not sent to the fingers/keyboard correctly. Anyway the example: "DiGiorno is really good for frozen pizza, probably my favorite brand of frozen pizza... they have a wider selection that other brands around here.. " I see this used so many times and always stumble over the usage in the sentence. Shouldn't THAT be THAN?
  9. So funny you should happen to mention that!!!:wub: Joey is just to cute
  10. You sure do light my fires!
  11. First off is a story by Brew Maxwell at: http://www.crvboy.org/authors.html scroll down to Maxwell, Brew and you will see Foley Mashburn Saga ~~~ or ~~~ 'Tim" starts here: http://www.crvboy.or...well/t/c01.html This is the first 'book' of a 9 book story. Some 210 chapters in all. Very well written and an awesome story that will just pull you in. Also the Aurora series by John Ellison is another excellant story hosted at: http://www.nifty.org...ntom-of-aurora/ This is a gourmet story for Nifty!! A very well written story in 5 books with many chapters over 200k so it is an awesomely long read. It's based during a 'Canadian/naval summer camp' of teenaged boys -- kind of a 'Sea scout, naval military, indoctrination' story. Extremely well written story with a very strong plot line. Phantom of Aurora is an entirely new approach to a teen sexual story, yet the story is NOT entirely based on sex. I highly recommend reading this!!!!!! The very sad side is that John Ellison died shortly after FINISHING this story -- so there will be no more stories in the future. But, Aurora was an awesome ending to his story telling.
  12. Oh my God! I'm in love -- again! Dude! You are a REAL LOOKER!
  13. Maybe the Absolut kicking in? nice pics, none the less.
  14. You may be correct as to age -- simpler days back then -- closer to nature maybe. I loved to stand on the (covered) front porch during thunder storms -- still do actually while my golden hides under the bed.
  15. That is so amazing - we both like the same smells!!!
  16. I'm in the freshly cut grass group - second, by the smell in the air after a thunder storm
  17. I agree with Vic on the 'perfect' crust --- and I am still looking for that perfect crust recipe. My favorite pizza place in Ohio had a crust that had a great chewy crust with larger air pockets -- more like an artisan Ciabatta bread might have. I have no idea how they achieved that texture. Most pizza dough recipes are very similar with the addition of olive oil being the biggest variable. Which leaves me thinking that the differance is in the technique and not the ingredients. However, the flour used or the mixing of various types might come into play. I'm looking. Anybody have suggestions?
  18. I have never even tasted an adequate frozen pizza. Some are better than others, BUT home made is so much better; starting with the crust and next being the sauce. Toppings I like being creative with which may include my home made Italian sausage. Sausage and mushroom is my first choice in toppings. An awesome pizza would be my 'death row dinner of choice' with a side of seared rare rib eye from a very hot grill.
  19. You have some awesome 'interests' listed in your profile. Welcome to GA.
  20. Welcome Alendius -- you have arrived into an awesome place: great people and great stories too.
  21. Welcome Jamie. Another 'golden oldie' into food! You wouldn't live in Colorado by chance? I love my time spent in the kitchen doing meals.
  22. I'm thinking that this new campaign of out classing him at his chosen events really pricks his bubble. He is now irrelevant - the only thing he can do is show up with larger numbers. Even that won't work very long. Phelps and clan is burnt toast.
  23. Don't leave us hanging -- inquiring minds need to know your herbs of preference. Or for that matter oil and vinegar too. Please
  24. I'll make that 3
  25. The thought running through my head is the probability of having 3 or 4 homos within their ranks. Considering the size of their clan - the odds are likely.
