Comicality

Hehehe, a machine? A vampire? Maybe a vampire cyborg thingie? Who knows? Anyway, that's actually not a bad idea, summarizing the previous chapter before starting a new one. I usually keep notes in my notebook as I go along and while I'm editing, so I can sorta keep a 'Cliff Notes' version of all the stories myself. It would take me forever to do all...I think I'm at 165 stories/chapters now...but maybe I'll hire myself a 'contractor' to write them all for me. Hehehe!

Yeah, I think the end of summer and the beginning of fall sometimes slows things down again until people learn to balance their work and school schedules again. But hopefully I'll be able to post weekly topics again like we had when the place first opened. I'd love to talk about stories online and what separates the really good ones from the really bad ones. And how to make the great ones even better. I learned a lot from those discussions, you know?

Actually, if you look at the earlier chapters of the story, the days actually had dates attached to them. But as I realized that I no longer have ANY idea when spring break, summer break, holidays, school ends, school starts, and I was running out of school year to work with...I took them away and just added days of the week instead. So he's trapped in the twilight zone at the moment, but I'll give him a vacation soon. Hehehe! Glad you like it!

This will be the first time ever that "Gone From Daylight", "Magic Man", and "Savage Moon", will be in direct competition with one another directly! Hahaha! Nah, I know the feeling! In fact, that part that you read in that story was my way of poking fun at myself for being guilty of the same thing. (Constantly) And I get emails all the time asking for a continuation of one story or another, which...on one hand, inspires me to get back to work on it and burn through it so I can get it finished and posted. But on the other hand...it also makes me work that much harder to make sure that the chapter is 'good' by the time it comes out. Especially if people are waiting for it, I had better make it worth their while. But I agree, it's much easier to be on the 'writers' side of the equation than it is to be a reader waiting for that next episode. The only way around that (which I've considered, but never really do it) is to 'vanish' for a few months to a year to finish off a whole series or two, and then post them on a more regular basis. Or, to simply work on just one series until it's done and hold off on the others. But I'm a bit too 'schizo' on a daily basis to make that one work. Hehehe! As for other authors who have long gaps between chapters, sometimes life just gets in the way. And sometimes the inspiration just burns out for a while until something happens to restart that fire for them. So I understand the delay, but it frustrates me too! Believe me! Especially when you check every day. Been there, done that. I think it's a compliment though. I'd rather have people anxious for a new chapter than to not think about it at all.

For me, whether I'm writing or reading a story, the sex is never necessary. It's just 'fun'! Hehehe! There are a lot of stories that I could tell from point A to point B without ever adding a sexual interlude at all. But it feels restraining for me to do that. I remember being 14, 15, and 16 years old...and to find a boy that I liked, and thought was cute, and had feelings for him...sex was on my mind. If I even saw a stranger in the street that was just plain hot for no reason, hehehe, sex was on my mind. It's natural for me to write the way I would have felt back then. I think, if you're reading a story, and it naturally progresses into something sexual, then it can be a really beautiful part of the story. But if it's just thrown in there and I hardly know who these people are or why they're together...then it loses some of its luster. And yeah, in those cases, the sex can be pretty boring. Even when it's well witten. Not because of the act itself, but because the readers don't know or care about the characters. If it wasn't for the characters in the story, and you read a bunch of them in a row, it's just 100 different descriptions of filling the same two holes. Yeah...boring. And then, there are stories that are based on just the sex. Which can be fun too. You don't really get anything lasting out of them, but if that's what you're looking for, then most people might do the opposite and skip the story just to get to the sex already. In an erotic genre, it's expected to a certain degree. And there are a lot of folks who don't wanna get too deep into a storyline. So overall, I suppose it just depends on what you're looking for at that particular moment, and what you're expecting the story to deliver. For me...as long as there is a horny teenage boy on this Earth, I'm gonna find it hard to believe that they can long after someone and just kiss and cuddle forever without wanting to go further. (Right away! Hehehe!) But I'd never sacrifice a story for the sake of a 'squirt' though. Promise. ::Thinks:: Hmmm...I'm gonna have to start putting major plot twists in those sex scenes to make sure you guys are paying attention.

((Tight Hugz)) There is still one last part of the "Savage Moon: Forsaken" extended chapters, which will be posted tomorrow night. It was just held until I got further along in "Savage Moon: Unleashed" to make sure everything adds up from chapter to chapter and I won't need to change anything later. (I have a bad habit of changing things at the VERY last minute!) And the new chapter will start the first week of October! Cool? I have to admit that I took a break on this story while I was right in the middle of the next chapter for a big project I'm working on for October, but I'm definitely going to get back to it as soon as I possibly can! Oh no, you've got it right! The story on the Anthology was written as one long story, but the one I posted on the site was posted as parts 1 and 2 (So I basically just cut it in half). And part 3 is almost finished as you read this! Cool? By the way, welcome to the board, Undecided! Hehehe!
