  1. This is a very... kind of sore subject for me. I always considered my Hero to be Susan, a lady in her forties in Missouri. She was a friend of my Aunt's, and her and her entire family would come up atleast once a year to visit, and I always enjoyed my time with her. She just seemed so amazing to me. She was very outgoing, very kind, loving, and all those wonderful qualities that you can think of. She was my favorite person in the world, I admired her to no end. I even spent an amazing week with her and her wonderful family for a week down in Missouri. That was about 5 years ago. Then after that she and her family as only come up here a few times, but we kept in contact a lot over the phone. Then, last year I found out that she, out of no where one day, packed a bag and hopped on a plane and went to Kenya, Africa. She left her family... just like that. No explanation, nothing. She spent a few Months in Kenya. Since then, she has moved back to Missouri, she is staying at a friends house, and visits her family about every other weekend. I have not talked to her for over a year. I do not have any idea how to contact her, and she has done nothing to contact me. I miss her a great deal, but I do not think that is my hero any more... 5. The French Quarter was in some... was it John Grisham books? and it sounded really interesting... but I still vote for Alaska.
  6. Saturn would, without a doubt be fun, but to me... Alaska is just a little more realistic.
  7. So, Rigel and I kinda thought that Alaska would make an amazing spot to hold a convention...
  8. I cannot believe that this chapter has been up for 4 days and I JUST found it an hour ago!!!! I cannot believe it! I like this story so far... I will go read chapter 2 now...

  11. Sounds like a good idea to me.
  12. I still read it, however. And it wasn't just because of Aiden's hair that I stopped reading the first time I started.
  13. Oh... so now you have hair issues?

  20. My desert had a lot of sand... obviously, but it was also kind of hill, except the part in front was kind of flat. There were also some trees around the flat area... weird, but they were there. The cube was very small, about the size of an ice cube, and it was glass, and shiney. Then, the ladder wa alumminum, and read, with silver/gray rungs. It looked brand new. Then the flowers were around the ladder and the cube along the back, and the two ide, in a rectangular shape. The horse was alond the back of the flowers, towards the right corner, eating the flowers. When the storm came, it got very windy, and the ladder fell over. The horse just continued to eat the flowers, but irt ear did prick up some. The flowers just kind of flapped in the wind some, and the cube was really no where to be seen. Interesting. Very interesting.
  21. My absolute favorite movie ever is Summer Storm.
  22. I guess that it would kind of be nice to see Travis and Dennis a little more intimate with each other, but I do not think, that a sex scene is totally necessary for the story. Not that I would in any way object to one. Kurt
  23. I will start off with apologizing. This is not a comic book to movie, this is s book to movie. Two of my friends and I all read the same book. Blood and Chocolate. We all really liked it, so when we heard that they mad it into a movie, we were all excited, so we rented it and watched it together, another friend that had not read the book watched it with us. The three off us who rad the book firt hated the movie, and the one that had not read it liked it. The did such a bad job at making it into a movie. They changed so much. They killed characters in the movie that did not die in the book. They changed the plot. In the book, two characters had a love affair, but in the movie those same characters were mother and son. They changed the ending, they changed everything, it almost made me cry. They even changed the setting. In the book it took place in the USA around the New England area, in the movie it took place in Romania. It was bad. Sorry for kind of not folloing the specified topic, just kinda needed to vent this a little, and it kind of relates... Kurt
  24. Funny, I did the same thing. So, this was a good read, thanks for posting. I really think that it would be terrible if a 'cure' was found. How many parents would try and cure there child if they found out they were gay? Tons would I bet. Ot really is kind of scary to think about. "The government forces all homosexulas to be cured." Wouldn't that be scary? I think I would rather die then be 'cured.' What do you think? Kurt
  25. Yeah... with the index and ring finger one, I just looked at my left hand, and they are very very close to the same length. After I voted, i read Graeme's comment and looked at my right (dominant) hand, and my ring finger is noticably longer than my index finger. Hair swirls? I am right handed, and the first, and only son to both of my parents.
