I don't pray but for what it's worth I most certainly wish he'll be alright.

Dude, where are you living ? The nymphomaniac ward of a mental institution ? Now there's not a lot of answer to your question. Just say the truth even if partially. You're not interested, period. Be blunt if you have to, girls are not made of crystal. But dumb they can be as much as boys so just be clear. For the first one, if she's really a friend you should clearly tell her what's the problem. I mean, that's what friends are for, no ? To tell you what mere acquaintances won't dare or bother to say. If she can't take it, at least you'll know where you stand in this "friendship". As for the second, I don't really understand why you're accepting so much. From what I've read (and only from that), you don't seem to resist that much either. There's no way I'd let somebody harass me that way and certainly not to the point where "friends" would think of locking me up in a bedroom. Maybe I'm dead wrong but right now I think it happens to you because you let it happen somehow.

err.. I'm definitely late. Happy Birthday Kurt. ^^

Does : Kick their ass and -depending the depth of my own feelings- kick again or drag them to the first seculded place avalaible in the vicinity. count as : No, most likely, I'd just be pissed. I don't like PDA and I'm usually more serious about my work than my bf.

Some things just can't be helped lol. XD

From what I see, you all do a great job. But what would that be without the Master Mind ? So take the praises. It's genuine and more than deserved. ^^
-
I can't give you the moon for your birthday but I can give you a smaller moon. 7-percent smaller than average. Happy Birthday! Xandra -Copperfield- Kitee. O_o

Awesome. I swear I'm laughing right now. XD What can I say, even in the 24th century, French Haute Couture is still at its finest! ^^ Let's support Ten Forward. We may have wine at least!
-
Oh yes ! I didn't though of that but I'd sooooo have voted for Ten Forward! I might support this idea by a slight avatar's change ! O_O

The Bistro of course ! Who said I was ethnocentric ? O_o Although I'd have prefered Quark's Bar but I'm a geek so don't mind me. >_>

I mainly wanted to react on this person's opinion. I must say that I was a bit shocked. Because this seems so "self-centered". The world is a lot bigger than the few places where going to see a movie about two gay men is not an "extreme" experience. This theme may seem outdated to him but it's a painful reality in a lot of places. Hopefuly, with internet mainly, those places are not out of reach of this film. As for the "happy endings", sometimes, to get a point, you have to be harsh. It's good to show hope but it's also necessary to show what we do to each others or what we have done. How we hurt each others. It's important to see it clearly to be able to reflect on it. The reaction I've seen the most is "straight" people thinking that this was mostly "unfair". It was unfair for Ennis and Jack but it was also unfair for their wives (and the waitress). Unfair how they hurt each others, how they are miserable while their happiness wouldn't have hurt anybody. And if they think it's unfair, they're not far from thinking that this is abnormal. Because it's abnormal that society should decide who people can love (as long as we're talking about 2 both consenting adults, I'm not THAT open minded. ^^). Maybe it wasn't the most "progressive" movie of the year but it was a didactic movie for a lot of people. They were ready for it and ready to make the right conclusion about it. And this conclusion was NOT "I'm glad I'm not gay."

Who cares about Battlestar Galactica's story ? This serie contain three of the hotest guys on TV right now : - Jamie Bamber (Apollo) <-- so well deserved - Michael Trucco (Anders) - Tahmoh Penikett (Helo) But more seriously, the story makes no sense if you haven't begin with the mini serie and then went on with the episodes in the right order. But even then, I doubt you'll like it. It has some serious mature content. Though I like it for that. Star Trek is good but it was about time Sci-Fi shows stopped being for kids (Give me back firefly!). What am I stammering about, anyway ? O_o

Ha, awesome. ^^ I went to see the movie three times : - Once alone and I cried like a baby. - Once with a group of my uni (which was a terrible mistake because I was helplessly choking from laughter at the end of the movie.) - Once with two friends and we cried our eyes off. (Well, they cried inside ya know... they're "men" but you can't fool me. >_>) Except for the second time where WE were the disturbance all you could hear in the theater was sniffings and heartbreaking sighs. It's been a long time since I haven't seen an audience getting out of a theater all dazed like those times. I'd already liked "The Wedding Banquet" by Ang Lee but BB is way out of its league.

Yeah I'm having great fun. I've skipped the feminist meeting of my Uni and is cramming my thesis. Oh Joy. O_o No seriously I don't really care. I try to have a woman's day everyday.

There. Fixed for Great Justice ! XD More seriously -and here I'll speak only for myself- I like to know where we stand on some very important matters. Without that, I feel like the sunshine and puppies atmosphere is more a wall than something to bond people. I repeat that this is only my personal feeling. It's not even an opinion.

Moderating such forums is a hell of a work. What is offensive and what is just an opinion ? The limit can be very very blur. But I tend to agree with Mr. Greg.

That is surprisingly (for me I mean) high for the forums. I would have thought a lot less. But it's good. Really good. Considering the amount of stuff to read outside of the forums it means that a real lot of the users goes beyond simple reading. Even if they're not posting, they're still involved in the community. Now, as for why they're not posting, I think that shyness and lack of time are the main reasons. Not to mention that this is not an attractive forum for immature spammers. But I think shyness is the main reason. I mean, here, the subject is litterature. The people who makes the effort to read must have a little bit of brain. They'll not find it amusing to post only meaningless stuffs and even less to look like dorks. It goes beyond the usual little fear to not fit in an already existing community, I think. There's only two thing to do : being nice to newcomers ( Dozo yoroshiku by the way. O_o) and wait. If the content is overall good enough (and it is for me - no sucking up intended - else I'd never had register) the forum will grow. ... I'll shut up now because I really sound like an old sea dog of the web, gee. >_>

The second biggest forum of the world : http://www.big-boards.com/
-
ai. Well then that's slightly different. But not so much.
-
First, will the bandwidth stand it ? ^^ For how long has this forum existed ? Nearly 3 years I think. It's already an achievement of some sort. A lot of forums don't exist for that long. (That's what made me register by the way) Not to mention that the site is very well placed when you search such content with google. Maybe it's better to have a loyal and quietly growing community than to have impressive numbers. And no matter what you do, the number of "simple lurkers" will always be far more important than the number of forum active members, since the forum is just some kind of side dish. But, now, a fourth of the registered members connected at the same time is truly amazing. Though there's still a bit of posting to do before we can compete with IGN Boards. =^^=

One possibility is missing : - Since only my dead body would get married, please write MY one and only name on the grave. That's an interesting question, though. But what's even more interesting is why would you or wouldn't you take your sig. other's name ? For example, my mother loves her current husband's name. It's a foreign name. She says it like she'd show a 5 carats diamond, I swear. >_>;
-
I've NEVER felt this way. hum... To be more accurate, let's say that I have no idea what you could feel in that kind of situation. Sure, I've already felt miserable but it had nothing to do with living under the stairs with people who hate my guts. O_o

To piss off my aunt. No, I'm joking. Though seing people go through my collection of books and mangas can be funny and quite informative. I like love stories. Good love stories. No matter who they involve. But even more if they're off the beaten tracks. I like mature contents. Because I'm not a little girl who thinks love is the stuff dreams are made of. I don't like to be unconsciously shunted in a role who doesn't fit AT ALL my own nature. When two people of the same gender are involved, I can freely choose which one really match me the most and identify myself to them. I also can't stand helpless damsel in distress with heaving bossoms. I like relationships to be set on the idea of "equality". Even if things are changing, it seems to be easier to get that feeling when the characters are of the same gender. And last but not least, even if I've read some very good stories with lesbian characters, I'd rather read stories about men. What can I say ? They're highly interesting creatures. X)
