I have to say the best gift I had this year was the gift of spending the day with my family. Either my husband or myself have been working Christmas Day for the last fours years so this was our first whole Christmas day together for a while. As for physical gifts, a friend gave me a framed photo her husband had taken of our children together. They looked just like sisters. I didn't give that many gifts this year as money was short but people seemed to be grateful for what i could give them and that made me happy.

I agree with faxity, Harrison can be really wise and really dumb. I can understand not wanting to believe anything bad about your brother but even a blind man could have sensed the tension as soon as Roman entered the room. Harrison was quick to give good, wise advice to Damien but neither of them can see what is right under their noses. Was lovely to see Damien and Kay finally taking a big step. Onwards

It's good that Damien has finally found out about Kay's past. But he really needs to control his temper. It's also good that he didn't try and push, he could have taken Kay into his bed to 'comfort' him but he knew to give him space and time. Even if he doesn't realize that's what he's doing. Onwards

I have to say it is lucky that they had cut Kay's claws or Damien could have been in for a world of hurt with the way Kay woke up. But I would have loved to have seen a picture of John's face when he found them cuddled up together. Kay is definitely getting more brave, offering to get the lunch for Damien. Onwards

Flora would have been in shock and not knowing what to do. And if Casey hadn't taken her with him, Samuel would have killed her on the spot. This will give him time to get back home and get reinforcements. -

I did think about making Samuel suffer more but I couldn't work it into the characters that any of them would do that. I promise Casey and Jackson's story is coming in January. All will be explained (I hope ) -
I think I should start worrying, lol, everyone is waiting for Jackson and Casey's story. I hope I can write to everyone's expectations. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the other stories in this series too.

I love the King, he at least see's partially through Roman. I hated the guards, I know they reacted according to their training but they should have been the one's apologizing fort he misunderstanding. not demanding that Kay say sorry. Onwards

Loved the shaving cream scene. It was a great way for Damien to really connect with Kay. It's good to see that Kay is starting to trust Damien. Ellis has the potential to become a good friend to Kay, Almost like a brother maybe?? Onwards

It was great to hear more about Kay's past but horrific to hear about even a bit of what he has had to endure. Damien is reacting to Kay's emotions on an instinctual level and I do think it's sweet how he unconsciously comforts Kay without realizing it. In knew Garin was a teddy bear Onwards

It's nice to see that Damien is good to the staff/slaves in the household. He asks rather than ordering. I did like the search for Kayden and that Ellis had to basically tell Damien that he needed glasses It was good to learn a bit more about Kayden and his past treatment, it give Damien some inkling of how hurt Kay is emotionally. I think Kay is going to test Damien's patience to the limits. Onwards

Although I'm glad Damien is keeping Katden, Harrison is a bit heartless talking about it in front of the little guy like that. Harrison is also very naïve (I thought that was better that absolute idiot ), of course a slave is not going to accuse a master of hurting him and so of course Kayden was not going to admit to being hurt. Even if it had been another slave hurting him, he is new to this household and doesn't know the dynamics, he would be stupid to accuse anyone of anything. I think Ellis is going to be a good help but I do agree that he should have noticed the blood on the clothes as he was putting them into the hamper. On wards I go

Ok, I agree with everyone else that Roman is a ------ but from his behavior is the previous chapter his actions are not actually that much of a surprise. Before Kayden scratched him he was already starting to say that if Damien didn't want him then... I liked Garin, he had a tough exterior but I think underneath he's just a teddy bear. I did love your take on a historical version of indoor plumbing, lol. On to the next

Ok, first I really want to thump Roman he's is exactly like the bullies I used to know at school. They think they're better than everyone else and all they're interested in is getting more power. His hit first attitude is just proof of how little brains he has. Poor Kayden, you can already see how abused he most likely has been. I must admit to wanting to cheer when he scratched Roman, even it was an accident. Now on to the next chapter
