Dear GA Just five days before the 12th anniversary of me joining GA, I have come to realisation, that I am not able to continue my writing hobby. I wish to thank every one on GA for all of your support over the many years I have been a part of this writing group. I will continue to monitor my page from time to time for any comments, emails and messages. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year in 2026 and beyond. When I informed Andrew of the email, we looked at the booking system and confirmed the booking, and we discussed the issues with having additional beds for one of the cottages to accommodate my brothers. “How about we use our former home for them, that way they have three bedrooms and additional living space all to themselves?” Andrew suggested after a few moments of thinking about it. “Brilliant, that way we can still have the cottages for other guests since it will be a busy time of the year,

She had lived on the island from 1979 until her passing in 2015 at the age of 77 years, and we were shown her burial site at the Emily Bay Cemetery on the island. As we sat down for some lunch at the local Fish & Chip Café, we discussed the books that Colleen had written, and Andrew stated that he had seen the TV mini-series of The Thorn Birds and the Movie Tim, both of which were filmed in Australia, with a mixture of Australian and overseas actors in both productions. I stated that I

I jumped out of my seat and dashed back towards where I had just moments earlier. I saw a distressed middle-aged woman in the last row of Business class seats, giving her husband soft shakes on his shoulder, and she was now crying, as a steward arrived. “Ma’am, my name is Cooper Hudson. I am a qualified paramedic. May I examine him, please?” I said to the lady, and she nodded her head. “Mr Hudson, what can I get for you?” the steward asked me, and as I looked up, I saw that he was checking me ou

Thanks mate. My writing has slowed right down to turtle speed, so the chapters will not be every alternate day or few days. Possibly looking at once a week at the moment. Q

Christmas celebrations were a huge success at the Watch Tower with family and friends, although Banjo had to leave mid-afternoon on a call out with work. I invited him to return if it was a short callout, which it wasn’t. He did say on leaving that he had enjoyed the Christmas celebrations very much. He thanked me for inviting him there, as he gave me a big, long hug in appreciation before leaving, which caught me by surprise, and made me wonder if he was Gay or Bi, too. On Boxing Day morni

My family did come from the UK and did start farming almost as soon as they arrived in the late 1830’s, leasing an established farm near Toodyay in Western Australia, and our family continued farming for six generations, sadly only one cousin owns a farming property now, while my nephew (same generation as the cousin) manages a farming property in the South West of the state. My direct family farmed @ Toodyay - GG Grandfather, Guildford & DeGrey region - G Grandfather, Balingup and Granville - Great Uncle and Grandfather, Gingin and Dandaragan - Father & Brother and Bridgetown - Nephew.

Very true. A majority of the summer fires here in WA, that Western Australia for you foreigners, lol, are started by dry lightning storms, and are often in remote locations. We have had only one town completely wiped out by wildfire (Yarloop) with just one death there. The remote fires are often very difficult to reach to fight them due to the terrain, and in daylight hours water bomber aircraft are used to control them. A bushfire recently close to the town where i live, shut down the main East/West Highway and although most of it was in bushland, three farming properties lots homes or main structures, and it also threatened a major medium security prison that was only five kms away.

Very hot and regular bushfires here WA part of Oz.
