    L & O Chapter 5

While Mum and Dad socialised with other guests in one of the lounges, I took Brodie to explore as much of the train as we could see, which was interesting, and we stopped and chatted with a few people on the way exploring the train. Once back at our cabin, Brodie lay down for a nap and he was soon fast asleep, which gave me a chance to do some online reading, and about ninety minutes later, he woke up about 90 minutes later with a loud yawn and stretch, which made me smile. I suggested that

    L & O Chapter 4

“Help. I am Dalton A Huxley, an Australian citizen on holiday in Canada. Uncle Oliver in Trout Creek, BC, Canada,” was all I had time to write, enough I hope to get me free and back with family in Canada again. It was not long before I was brought into the Okanogan County Jail, where I was formally processed, given a prison uniform basic supplies, and a rule book which I was expected to read and follow. I decided to remain silent for however long it would be in this place of horror, and I hoped

    L & O Chapter 3

During the hike the winds picked up again, making it hard to walk, especially with the road being mostly uphill. When I finally arrived, I entered the Post Office first and asked them to call an ambulance to Pioneer Park down by the lake, as my cousin was gravely ill, I gave the dispatcher my cousin's name, age and home address, and instructions on where exactly to find him. I would need to return to camp and pack it all up call, so I called my parents to come and collect our belongings in

    L & O Chapter 2

Once we had arrived in Sapporo, we checked in and settled into our hotel family suite, and we spent five wonderful days exploring the city and surrounding areas, and spending time with Ms Keiko and her family. Once again we travelled by bullet train back to Tokyo, where we had one more night stay in the Capital before we boarded our direct flight to Vancouver, BC Canada, which is a 9-hour flight, and once again we were seated in Premium Economy, which gave us a little extra space compared to jus

    L & O Chapter 1

I had always been a very intelligent kid, from a very young age, and because of this, I was able to achieve a lot even before entering high school at the age of 11. My father is an Engineer and my Mother is a teacher, so when Dad was transferred to Singapore, we just stored everything that we were not taking with us and flew off to a new country when I was just four years old. The move overseas didn’t matter much at that age, as I had spent a lot of my time at home learning Japanese and Hokkaido

    Law & Order

Dalton is a very bright young man, who gets to live overseas because of his parent's work and learn additional languages. After seven years of living in Singapore, Dalton and his parents and baby brother returned home to Australia, where they settled down to a reasonably normal life, that was until they made a trip to BC Canada, to visit Dalton's uncle Oliver and older Cousin Tyler, and life takes a dramatic turn...
  9. Hello my faithful followers. i hope that you had a happy and safe Christmas and enjoy the approaching New Year celebrations. (Just two hours and 41 minutes away here in WA Australia…) I am currently writing a new story, which i will start posting soon. I recently learnt that i have cataracts in both eyes and i have surgery planned for both in mid and late January, just a few weeks away. Not sure how it will turn out, but here is hoping that all will be good afterwards. i will have posted all the chapters of the new story before the surgery, just in case. Best wishes to all. After nearly four weeks in the hospital, the doctors had me begin physical therapy, and this showed how badly affected I was by this disease, as I had become very weak, and I needed to get all the muscles in my limbs working properly again, and after the first two daily sessions I was very frustrated at how weak I had become and how hard it was to move my arms and legs. A week later, shortly after lunch, I was surprised to see Mum walk into my room with Mr Battersby following, and I frowned as I

Looking at the photo that Leah had sent me, I had seen him before, but I couldn’t quite remember where from, and I had the screen of the photo on the phone when I sat down at the table for dinner that evening. “Hey, why do you have a photo of Kristian on your phone?” my brother Finn asked me, who always sits next to me at the dining table, “You know this person?” I asked sounding surprised, “I sure do, he is my best mate – Aden’s older brother, he is about a year or two younger than you,” Finn s

Grandfather from the Sheep Station is on Cooper’s father side of the family. The estate near Toodyay is from his mother’s side of the family, hence his cousins have no say on how it is run, as it is owned by Cooper from his maternal grandmother…

I headed back to the Watch Tower, not sure if I would find the young man there or not when I arrived. A few hundred metres before the Tower, I tooted the horn three times, and slowed right down, before parking in my usual undercover carport behind the tower. Once I had unlocked the back main door, I slowly entered, “Hello, this is Cooper entering, you can leave if you want or stay too, I don’t mind either way,” I said as I paused at the door and listened, and I heard no sounds so I entered, and

“Hello son, how are things up at Cobblers?” Dad asked when he answered the call, “A few minor problems but it is all sorted. I discovered that Andrew Frazer from high school is now a police officer and is based at Toodyay, we caught up for a chat and drink yesterday afternoon after he had finished work, and I think we will be staying in touch now that we work in the same region. Anyway, the main reason I called is I had a thought today about my cousins, which I wanted to run by you,” I sai

“G’day. Many of you have heard of the Avon Descent boat race from Northam to Bayswater, held in early August each year, where competitors and their crew and a band of dedicated volunteers camp alongside the Avon River at Cobblers Pool. We are very happy to inform you that as of this weekend, for six months of the year, the new and improved Cobblers Pool Campsite is available for campers to stay for a maximum of three nights a month… All 30 dedicated campsites are non-power sites, but there are t

The next morning, after a bit of a sleep-in, I listened to the news as I ate breakfast when the next news item came on and I splatted my tea when I heard what the newsreader said. “We have a report of an incident that took place yesterday morning when the Governor of Western Australia was denied access to a property where there is a suitable function area to view the Avon Descent Race. Sources claim that the WA Police Escort and the Governor’s official vehicle were denied entry into the property

“Did you hear all of that boss?” Davies asked me as his voice became clearer, “Yes, can you just hang back in the background, I just want to hear what else is said,” I replied,” I responded, and Davies chuckled, “I was planning on doing that anyway,” he said to me and I heard a bit of rustling and a sigh, and not far away I could hear discussions happening within the Support Unit. “Look guys, be thankful that we have all of these wonderful facilities for us to use this year, it is far better tha

With the bigger vehicles now in place, Geoff, Jasper and I headed over to the shipping container behind the shed, which was the temporary store of all the chairs and tables, so we could set them up inside the shed, and we watched as several vehicles passed by, all of them carrying the required stickers on the vehicle allowing them access to the property. “I have a couple of those for you too, to put on your vehicle and one other that you nominated to have access,” Geoff said to me,” Just my vehi

Near the gate to the house, the 20-foot standard building would be placed on top of ten concrete blocks that would be delivered in the morning, along with a set of stairs, for easy access, and a waste holding tank and a water tank. This building has only partly been completed, with a functioning bathroom and basic kitchen area, and all internal walls, windows and plumbing installed, which is a basic one-bedroom cabin, which would be ideal as the Race Official’s building for the race, as the bedr

“Don’t forget I am heading to the estate tomorrow after the morning lecture, and I should be home in time for dinner if all goes well,” I said to Mum as I put my breakfast dishes in the dishwasher and gave her a peck on the cheek. “Yes, I did remember, is anyone going with you?” Mum asked me, “Yes, you know how we have the Canadian Ambassador coming up to the estate on Saturday, well I know his son from University, and he is coming with me today to check it out ahead of the weekend,” I said in r
