In the end, I not only bought the Land Rover that I had seen in the yard the other day, but I also bought a Toyota Fortuner GXL, which is diesel and four wheel drive, and I said that I would collect the Fortuner tomorrow morning. Walking around the house, I was pleased at how it looked on the outside, and since I have not officially been handed the keys, I walked through to the landscaped garden park that I had built especially for Spike and Frilly. Taking the car like I do when visiting Mum on my own, I found a parking space fairly close to the hospital, and I went up to collect Mum, who was dressed and patiently waiting for me, when I arrived at 8.30 am. We had to wait for a heap of paperwork to be finalised, and once they were all signed and dated, I followed the nurse who pushed Mum’s wheelchair to the exit closest to were I parked the car, and once in the car, we headed back towards the house. After the long flight south, we landed at Jandakot airport safely, and I taxied to the hanger that I had leased while we are down in the city, and after shutting sown the engines, I made a call for a taxi van to collect us, before helping Rhodes with the luggage and locking up the plane and the hanger. Once we had released the Frilled Neck and the Echidna, we headed into town where I posted a sign on the community notice board at the minimart, to say that the Vet Clinic will be closed for the next two weeks, before I drove Marcus to the Airbase, arriving just before 10 am. With it being a closed day of the base, we entered via the side eastern entrance, as I usually do, when driving to the complex, and I was pleased to see Mum and Dad home, while the Parkinson’s were in Port Hedland shopping.
