Awakening your Muse... the words are so true. A muse can be fiery and consuming and, if you're not careful, can go out cold and you're left with ashes. The hanging... I like that you used the soldier's perspective. I felt like I was standing there beside them.

I wonder why Philip is feeling guilty about what happened to Tait? Did he know Tait's ex? Did he introduce them? Or did he chicken out telling Tait that he is (so obviously to everyone but Tait, I'm sure) in love with the man, leaving Tait open to marry someone else? So many questions rolling around inside my head. I like the flashbacks. It's a good way to get to know the people who've been in Tait's life and how he came to be where he is right now. Great chapter, tim. Looking forward to delving deeper into Tait's story.

Carly has lost any respect I might have been able to muster up for her. What she did... the way she played God with so many peoples' lives... no amount of jealousy can justify that. She trapped a man who she KNEW was gay into a loveless marriage using a child that wasn't even his. She played and slept with a young man who actually liked her just to become pregnant. She tortured the man by dangling a little girl in front of him and threatening to take her away if she didn't play along with her ever changing rules. How can someone like this sleep at night? I hold to my thoughts of her from last week... Carly is a psychopath. She doesn't care who gets steamrolled in her plans as long as she gets what she wants. Without Craig's intervention, even if she loves her daughter now, it would only have been a matter of time until Bailey did something that would have caused her mother to turn on her too. Likely involving her wanting to see Jared. I know Jared should know what Carly did, but my heart aches for him having to hear about this. I like how Craig handled the situation though. It's good that he realized she lied and remembered some of what happened back then. Hopefully they can get the new agreements drawn up quickly. This was another great chapter, Gary! You are a master at touching a chord with your audience... even if that chord is wishing you could slap a character. lol

This really does a romantic soul good. Michael is such a cute little boy who adores his father and seems to have attached himself to Patrick already. Patrick is so good at reading the emotions and motivations of everyone he meets, except for the man he really wants. I love that there is some mystery between the two of them. They are able to get to know each other. That was probably one of the most romantic ways I've heard to ask someone to be their Valentine. Thank you for this wonderful valentine's gift Oh and I asked my husband about Peter Schmeichel and he grumbled because he's an Arsenal fan lol
