  2. I'm having great fun, but am having a quiet moment too. It won't last long.
  3. They are eating cinnamon buns and watching "Home Alone" at the moment.
  4. Yeah, sadly that is true. I haven't had homemade bread in many years. My mom used to make the best bread and the best rolls.
  5. I got my lawn tractor going today. I changed the oil and then mowed the lawns. Mostly mowing leaves but they are now mulch. My DIL is going to drop off the two kids for a couple of hours while they go to dinner. They should be here within the hour so I'm back inside. I have new puzzles for them, and lollipops.
  6. Oh wow. Beautiful stuff. I need to eat something soon.
  7. Take care, brother B.
  8. Good day, all. That was an entertaining read.
  9. That is awesome, Tink. You are definitely smarter than your Hobbit brother.

  14. So... you think we could get any money for Drew's rusty tin crown? No real jewels on it... just ones he 'drew' with a magic marker.
  15. Oh goody... Mancunian is a smartass too!
  16. And they are tiny little britches.
  17. A wonderful poetic narrative that reminds us who we once were and who we still can be. Bill has touched on something important, so do yourself a favor and go back in time. Read this!

    Chapter 1

Who are we without our imaginations? How do we decide what road to travel, what makes us tick, or what holds our interest? We learn so much through escaping into fantastical worlds... and sometimes it is the only place we can feel truly safe. We can feel powerful, be heroes, control outcomes... it is empowering. I adored this poetic offering, Bill. We all have to grow up, but it doesn't mean we can't let our child's minds free every once in a while. I travelled this poem, and I battled demons and saved worlds along with you. Thanks for taking me back in time. We, you and I, and other authors, are all these things. We create characters and we give them adventures, and we make the world a better place, even if just for the time it takes a reader to consume a few pages. I am a doctor, I am a cowboy, I am Santa Claus...heck, I am even a wolf... and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just beautiful, and I thank you for the inspiration you provide. Cheers! Gary.
  19. Truly remarkable stuff, this collection. Parker's poetry most always touches on universal themes we can all connect with, and these are some of his very best. I thank him for the sweet emotion he stirred in me. Cheers!
