    Back from my walk. I tweaked my groin when I slipped yesterday... felt it stepping into the shower this morning and again when I was cleaning the stall, but by the time I finished my 3K walk, it seemed fine. It's a nice mild day and I was tempted to go 5K, but decided on caution.

    Hey, Spikeman. "Cowboys and Aliens" is one of my guilty pleasures. Love that movie.

    Storms remind us of how small we are, but when the rage outside, that feeling of safety while wrapped in a blanket is intensified. I don't understand it... I just feel it. I am fascinated too. Falkor is gone now, but he was such an unexpected gift. How I used to fret about that cat. I miss him, and I often walk to his grave to say hello and tell him so.

    You're welcome, Terry. It gives me great pleasure when my poetry has an effect on a reader. When I am anxious or down, I seek out nature in the smallest ways. Sometimes a weed coming through an old patch of hay can capture my attention and divert my mind from my troubles. I truly believe we need that connection to the earth mother. It is in our genetic makeup to feel a part of this amazing world. Visit is the special kind of haunting that we welcome, for it is the soothing kind. I thought these poems belonged together. Cheers, my friend, and thank you.

    I took some photos on my walk. Just some nature photos, which is a dangerous thing to do. I almost fell head first into a wooden fence as I was looking through the lens and slipped in mud. Yup... still graceful... didn't drop my phone.

    Sometimes I think my responses are more than readers want, but my writing makes me passionate. I enjoy interacting, though, so it is what it is. Thanks, Terry... you are always a joy to talk to.

    I'd forgotten Roped and Tied. Thanks for bringing me back to it. Not all poetry needs to be deep. Mantras are important. Repetition of words or a phrase in my mind can snap me out of anxiety sometimes. Thanks, buddy.

    Whenever I read poetry I read it more than once. I think because of the economy of words, they are to be savored so we can discern all of what they mean to us. As a poet, we must be prepared to bare our souls at times, because anything less than honesty shortchanges what we do, and what people see, so then what would be the point? Poetry is important to me, and I think it is for many reasons, but one is that there is no tap to turn on when we want to say something. It must come unbidden, often unexpectedly. Is this confusing? I do sometimes talk to much. Thanks, Terry.
