  1. Have a good day, all.
  2. Must be an ex there.
  3. It's been a long time since a man has stumbled onto me (assuming you are a man). So happy to hear you are connecting with my writing, buddy. From this story to the present, I have done a lot of improving, but there is heart to this story that still stands up. I am so proud that is the case, and appreciate your kind and considerate words. As a reader I was always looking for stories that made me feel deeply and that also fed my need for romance. Some might say I lean towards sappy, but I am not offended by it. I wear my heart on my sleeve proudly. It is an honor to provide you hours of pleasure... and I love hearing that I do. Kendall and Michael own a piece of my heart, and always will. Cheers... Gary....
  4. None there... all dead because of climate change.
  5. Pffffft. Oooh, I'm scared.
  6. We also have good beer and great plaids... and beaver tails.
  7. Bluefish cold walk.
  8. Have a wonderful day, all.

    Chapter 1

Told you I would try to get to one of your stories. This was a good chapter. Some hard hitting stuff here, and you did a good job of setting the story up. I have four kids and consider myself blessed, but the pain of one miscarriage has never left. I still wonder who that child would have been. There was much here a reader could relate to, so well done. Cheers! Gary....
  10. Sorry you had a shitty day, Doha. Blake's story is one I loved telling, so I'm glad it helped. I don't know that I will ever revisit these characters, but I did have more of the story to tell at one time. Writing short stories has its own challenges, and need to be complete... to feel complete, so that kind of ties an author's hands. Thanks for this. I love when a comment brings me back to a story. Cheers... Gary....
  11. I think it drove a lot of readers crazy, buddy. I was damn new at this writing thing, and I really just followed my instincts which have always tended towards the romantic. I knew from the beginning the story I wanted to tell, and how the story would unfold, but I had no clue if I could pull it off. It was freaking scary to tell you the truth. Comments like these were my courage back then (and still is to some degree). There is a lot of me in this story, and being so vulnerable was something new, so the response to Michael and Kendall is what kept me going. I couldn't let those readers down. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. As corny as it sounds, these are like nourishment to me, and I really hope you keep me posted. "Sensuous expectations'... love it! Just... don't stop reading... you can coast on your dreams, but make sure you keep going... it gets better IMO. Cheers... Gary....
  12. No, I never take her on the road because I don't want her going anywhere near it when we are outside. It's a very quiet road but anything can happen. My son harnesses her up and takes her on the road, but she knows the difference.
  13. Had a three K walk. Cold wind, but it wasn't too bad temperature wise. The sun came out for about five minutes.
  14. No, not really. Some drifting at the back of the barn I had to shovel so I could get to the manure pile, but not much falling recently... just some flurries.
  15. Sweet dreams, brother B.
  16. Warmer today. Above freezing right now, but dips low again tonight. Time to clean the stall.
  17. I'm not expecting much.
  18. Happy Sunday, Monday, all!
  19. Great photos, Terry. Thanks.
  20. I was talking about my throat... wait... ah... yeah, different store...
