That's really nice to hear, my friend. I know exactly what I don't want, so I have had clarity for a while. Faith is hard, but we humans need it, and I am human. Cheers, and thanks very much for sharing your thoughts with me.
Yeah, but I'm really not bitter... I don't think... At least I can laugh at some of the choices I've made. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts, my friend.
Be My Valentine
I’ve had my share of Valentines
Some good, but some real bad
Enough I drew some rigid lines
No more chocolates from a cad
My vases are all empty today
Nary a gas station flower in sight
Only a sweet dog at my side lay
A single wine glass filled this night
Don’t get me wrong, I love romance
And I’m a sucker for a good heart
But I want no man who drops his pants
In the back stall of a Quickie Ma
I expected others would relate to this poem and the inescapable aging. It isn't a curse... just a fact of life. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, Terry.
There's a Reader's Choice poll that you can Vote for favorite stories on... will provide a good list for readers old and new looking for stories to read. The link is on the Forum page in the upper right corner. Lots of good stories to choose from, and yes, some of mine are included on the list.
The beauty of poetry to a poet is being able to express that which occupies our mind. Sometimes, I am sad. Other times, I am accepting. What else can we do, my dear friend. Thanks, Albert.
Thank you very much, my friend. We all face the same journey for the most part. I don't ever forget I am fortunate to have gotten this far. Cheers and thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts with me.
The end will come to so many things we experienced in the past. "Victim of theft'... glad you get how I feel sometimes. Thanks for reading and commenting, Parker.
