I really enjoyed the first season of the Netflix (or Amazon?) series. It includes all the important stuff without dragging it out the way Jordan did. I'm looking forward to the next season... hope they don't screw it up.
Come to think of it, I think "Wheel of Time" had some influence on how I write. I abhor dragging things out. I let the characters tell me how to proceed... not some need to write more words.
Exactly! And there was no need for so many Aes Sedai. Their names all blended together because they weren't fleshed out characters. He should have put a common prefix in front of all the 'free' ones at least, IMO.
Yeah, that is The Sword of Truth series. I read them, and I also watched the TV series called Legend Of The Seeker. It was pretty good... I wished it had of continued.
Hey, Cassie. There's a new LOTR series coming in September 2nd on Amazon. It's called "LOTR: The Rings of Power". It looks good.
Eight episodes in the season.
Watched a movie on Amazon called "Chaos Walking"... it was different. It stars Tom Holland, and the concept is unique... my opinion is it is well worth watching. Apparently there is a series of books it's based on, so there might be more movies.
Still raining, so I did my walk on the elliptical. Not the same, but got my heart pumping pretty good. Still really warm outside despite the rain, but there is a nice breeze.
I'm good. Mowed today, and weeded some really tall burdock bushes that were growing along the fence. Was pretty hot here today. My son was supposed to bring by my granddaughter, but she has a runny nose, so maybe next weekend.
Made a beef stir fry (left over pot roast) for supper with fresh green beans and a chopped potato, and some mixed frozen veggies. It was delicious.
