  17. I did! deville touched on it as well, but I have to say I love how real this story is. It came to me before my nap (woke up a ridiculous o’clock this morning) that nothing that happens in this story seems contrived or implausible. It all just works and rings true, right down to Clyde and Badger’s behaviour. Well done tim, well done...

  23. I’m glad they had that talk about foster care homes and the payments involved. I have no doubt Max trusts Louis and Don, but to have his concerns calmly and rationally discussed - no big outbursts of denial as some might do - amongst the three of them would quash any niggling doubts Max might have had. You can really see in times like this, how well this family is going to thrive in the future. Okay, so there will probably be bumps along the way, but that’s normal. Right? Oh, and Max likes to cook - common ground between him and Louis. Yay, to that discovery. And, Yay! Max is coming home for good! Excellent chapter, tim.
