Your first “real” Friday in a long while. Looks to be a great one, so enjoy it to the fullest, tim.
-
Happy for you, tim. Enjoy the “weirdness” to the fullest. 😊
-
Good to hear you’re okay.
-
I can stand up, start to move and forget why I got up after a couple of steps..
-
How did you know? 😳
-
Will do!

Hey @Mikiesboy Have you seen the video Sasha put out today for Healthy Lemon Cheesecake (made with Ricotta cheese) bars? As I’m not having much luck with his Lemon Bars, I thought I’d try this one. I’ve got my fingers crossed this one will work. https://youtu.be/D72elxGfkYY

I was thinking about you yesterday wondering how your final “work” holiday day was treating you. Hope it was a good one! 16 days…
-

How do you know this? Were you a deer in a past life, perhaps? 🤔 -
It’s still early. Mike and Dan have time. Just saying…
-
You will, yes you will. I’m sure of that! Just keep telling yourself, no more cray, annoying, disgruntled or rude people as of closing time August 31. I hope you’re going to celebrate in some fashion your first day of freedom. I am truly happy for you, tim.

@Mikiesboy I may have met my match with Sasha’s lemon squares, but I’ve gotten his strawberry oatmeal crumble bars down to a T. Just took the latest batch out of the oven. Turned out pretty well if I do say so myself… I don’t know if you do it this way, but I took to weighing the oatmeal mixture to divide it between the base and the crumble top “equally”. Early on, I found eye-balling it just wasn’t working for me.

I’m reading this between the lines. I hear what you saying, tim. xoxo

Yes, but my eldest brother this time. I’m hoping we have good weather as well. 🤞🏻
-
Having visitors next week, but no firm plans as yet. Probably play it by ear - and the weather - as to what we end up doing.
-
That’s what I was thinking, too.

Looks sooo good! My nephew love’s blueberries, so maybe I’ll make this for his birthday in August. Need to check and see what his mom is thinking of making, mind you. Edit: Just saw the recipe has nuts in it. Nephew is allergic, so unless I can make it nut free, it’s a no go. Will investigate alternatives…

Thanks for the turmeric info. I don’t have that, so I’m going to not worry about missing a pinch of it. I just left the kitchen, so I feel what you’re saying. Ice water helps. Oh, and watching the bunny eat the dandelions - tenacious, they are - made me smile, because that’s fewer weeds I have to deal with. That’s one downside of all this rain. Weeds grow like, well weeds, and the soil is too wet to pull them out. Oh well…

Yep, took note of that, so I decided this is a good time to try making the lemon bars again. PS: Sasha posted this yesterday: Single serve lemon “cheesecake”. https://youtu.be/Rkqm3daXs_g I think I’m going to try it. For the life of me, I can’t understand the reasoning behind using turmeric in this recipe. I’ll have to ask Mr. Google later as it’s time for my next attempt at lemon bars. 🤞🏻

Here’s hoping there’s a cancellation well before October, rick.
-
Sounds absolutely delicious, tim. I’m hungry just thinking about it…
-
I’d heard about this, but promptly forgot about, so thanks for the reminder, Starry. Sadly, it’s been quite cloudy of late, so I may not see much. Will look for sure, though. Edit: Rats, looked it up, and it appears only northeastern Ontario will be able - maybe - to see the lights. @Mikiesboy @MichaelS36 and I aren’t in the northeast, so it looks like we’ll miss out. *sigh*
-
you too, tim. PS: He’s adorable!
