Mmmm……

Great colours you’ve chosen. 👍🏻
-
He lives on in my photo folder. He’s just too cute to part with. 😊
-
Sometimes, I wonder what I’m doing here, but then something puts that thought to rest, at least until the next time. Thankfully, “next time” is few and far between. This little guy still makes me smile. I am truly glad you’re still with us, tim. Love you lots. xoxo

Absolutely!

My short term memory isn’t worth the paper it’s written, which causes me to forget to buy the one thing I went to the grocery store. Then again, I buy other things, so maybe I’m just easily distracted by shiny (oh, it’s on sale…) things? As for tomorrow? It’s supposed to rain, so stay in and put your new “toys” through their paces. I’ll be making roll up lasagna in lieu of an evening walk.
-
I remember things/events/things I’ve been told etc in images as if my mind goes back to that time, so maybe that’s why my mind’s eye works so well?
-
I see radiant yellows of differing shades stacked like ribbons that fill my mind’s eye completely.
-
This is indeed, good news. Good luck and best wishes to your brother.
-
Good to hear you had a good first week. 👍
-
Yay to surviving the day, so you want to go back for day two and beyond.

🤔

Good to know about the zest, because I wondered about that. Date squares are a favourite of mine, so I’m sure I’ll like this cake. Hmm…maybe I should buy enough dates to make some squares.

Substitutes sound good, and pecans and I get along, so that’s another plus.
-
Did you use a sugar substitute? What kind of flour? Chickpea, perhaps? The internet says it’s versatile and a good substitute for ap flour. Then again, so is almond flour. I’m feeling the need to makes this, though not with walnuts, because me and walnuts don’t get along.
-
Not the same as what you got, but mine came with a bevy of extra things too. I only have the one blade type, though. Yours looks very versatile.
-
It looks like a really nice one, tim. I absolutely love mine. Its so easy to use and easy too clean (put it in hot soapy water then turn it on, and voila, it's clean). You will absolutely love and appreciate it, guaranteed!

Have a great day!

My sentiments exactly! The good news is it’s Family Day tomorrow. The stores will be closed, but the sun is going to shine (weatherman isn’t wrong, right?) and the temperature will be above freezing, so that’s something to look forward too. PS: I don’t even remember the last time I’ve had French Toast. Should think about making some…
-
Sorry to hear you got a blizzard, tim. Thankfully, I got the fluffy blanket, because that was much easier to shovel.
-
It did, but it's probably also because I'm walking outside as being outside is a big part of it for me. ETA: I think the walks act as an energy booster, though being dehydrated can cause fatigue too, so drink plenty of water. Having said all that, there are nights I still get hit with a wave of exhaustion, but that usually passes quite quickly.
-
The sun was wonderful today. As for tomorrow, the shovel will be back in service, I'd say. As for more walking, my neighbour in her 70s does that twice daily, so I decided to do a short on in the early a.m to see if that helps my "get up and go" get going better as I'm not a morning person in the slightest.
-
This wasn’t what I first imagined it would be, which is good, because I think his fake morning commute is a splendid idea. Something tells me this might be good for weekends, too. 👍🏻👍🏻

Chase and The Phone Booth
Reader1810 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Chase and The Phone Booth
I’ve read about desert mirages many times over the years. This time, however, instead of disappointment and despair, I believe the protagonist has found relief and peace. Well done, tim. PS: A side note to lighten ( possibly?) things a bit. I saw the title and somehow, my mind skipped over the word ‘and’, so I read it as ‘Chase the Phone Booth”, and I thought why would someone chase a phone booth?- 18 comments
