  1. Ratz! I was gonna say that, but you beat me to it!
  2. Not just great comments, but the amount of great comments might have been missed out on. I started reading more comments just now, and then it hit me: as of right now this chapter has reached seven - seven! - pages in the comment section, which is a GA record I do believe.
  3. We really need a 🤨 option for “liking” comments, don’t you think? 🤔
  4. That meme looks as if it was made for us.
  5. I’d say this particular mission is two-fold: from the head and from the heart. I certainly wouldn’t want to mess with the people he loves.
  6. As a beta reader for this amazing story, perhaps I should have seen something like this coming, but I didn’t. Apart from being suspicious after the incident with their safe, I never imagined Mr. Hazday giving us an adrenaline surging event. Kudos to you Carlos for this well planned and executed “crater” in the road this family was forced to endure.

    Moments

That is an excellent question, tim. Need to ponder for a bit.
  8. It’s been six plus years since I binge read this story, and yet, I can still remember how deeply moved I was by Matt and all he had endured. A very worthy read in my opinion. Don’t think about reading it, just read it!
  9. Gentle hugs, my friend. Hope you feel better soon.
  10. When I moved in 2019 I bought the Saturday editions at the small grocer in the building next to mine. Thinking about it now, the dollar store probably would have been more economical. Heck, they might even have had packing paper. Good luck with your move K. Packing what you want to keep and throwing out or donating what you don’t want to take with you is defo a lot of work.
  11. Being more productive makes sense. Not having to deal with the commute, no matter what form it takes, means less stress at the start of your day. Achieving more rest, because one does have to get up as early is a big plus as well.
  12. Quite apropos. Thank you for this, tim.
  13. Sounds wonderful. Have a great time with hubby, Chris.

It’s a short clip, so I watched it a few times before I could fully appreciate the snake making its way up the pyramid. Pretty cool, it is.

You know, one really has to appreciate the genius behind the ‘rusty’ bus. Of course, Cody wouldn’t steer them wrong, now would he?
  16. A most excellent quip by Ozzie, though I did have to think about it for a moment.
  17. he grabbed and shook the shorts’ hem—“these are Marine Corps silkies. You do remember one of our fathers’ a marine, right? Wait ’til I tell him you called my shorts panties.” I can hear Brett all the way up in Canada…
  18. I’d expect nothing less.
  19. I read “coolness” factor and immediately thought “leather jackets keep them cool?” 🙄 Maybe, I should finish my coffee before attempting Reading Comprehension 101…
  20. My cousins had one when I was a kid. She is the only dog - before and since - who would watch the floor for “treats” to fall rather than looking up as you’d expect. Must have worked, because she never reverted to the “looking up” way.
  21. @Mikiesboy When you possess puppy power, size is irrelevant as this plucky pooch demonstrates… https://youtu.be/XiXS4p5rBUM
  22. When you “said” spinach pie, I was picturing an actual pie with top and bottom crust. Seeing what it actually looks like and that it’s made with puff pastry has me thinking it will be easier and less work than if it was an actual pie. I think I will try this.
