    The first T-storm has been and gone, so it’s gotten a little cooler, so I’m happy with that. Sometimes, you have to learn the hard way.

    I can still remember when we got the box with the channel buttons on it that was attached to the TV with a long cord, so we didn’t have to get up to change the channel. Talk about high-tech.

    Not sure if you’re of the generation @Carlos Hazday speaks of in this blog, but it’s how we survived, so I thought I’d share this little gem - written almost five years ago - with you all.

    Fan guard, what’s that? jk... What you see is what I had. Mine didn’t have anything remotely resembling a guard.

    We didn’t either. I can still picture the fan I had when I was a kid. Not exactly meeting child safety standards is it? Weren’t the 60s and 70s grand?

    I agree, especially when the one the forgiveness is for is not contrite and stands by their original position. If my forgiveness makes them feel better - or righteousness in what they believe - then it’s all for them. I like a line uttered on old 80s (?) TV show “not on my radar” Not forgiving doesn’t not affect me as the “forgiveness brigade” would have people believe.

    Good morning, rick. I just woke up, so I’m having my first glass of iced coffee, and I’m talking my self out of going grocery shopping - talking myself into didn’t work . Maybe tomorrow... I think I’ll just sit here and enjoy birdsong with my coffee for now.
