I still remember the idiots - for them I almost called the cops, but they stopped, thankfully - who set off fireworks on the side street beside a gas station. I mean, really? Some people just have no brains whatsoever.

Weird, I would have thought setting off fireworks when it is still clearly daytime was a colossal waste of well, fireworks. Not really going to see much I wouldn’t think. 🤔

I had a dog when I was a kid. I can remember one time a raccoon was sitting on top of our fence looking down at my dog who was barking at him as dogs are wont to do. It was if the raccoon was saying “na, na, na, na, you cant get me!” Poor dog was beside himself because this critter was in his yard (fence extended into the garden).

Good morning, rick. Up way to early this morning, so I’m on coffee no. 3. One bright spot is getting to see that we do indeed have raccoons roaming about - bigs ones to boot. Good to know because I was contemplating putting the garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk items (getting rid of broken laundry baskets this time) out Thursday night instead of getting up early Friday. Last time I did that the raccoons ripped open the garbage bag and made a mess, so with seeing them this morning, I’m getting up early Friday. Nothing like having to collect and fix the garbage when the truck is in sight...

I didn’t know you could work on a holiday. That is, I thought it was a given that everything was closed. Maybe most people think like that too, and your day will be restful. *fingers crossed* Bottom line, you’re a smart cookie for: 1 working the holiday to get OT 2 taking Thursday off so you have a long weekend.

Good morning, rick, I went grocery shopping this morning, and wouldn’t you know it, this is the fourth week in a row I was directed to cashier number 8. Something is definitely up with that, I’m just not sure what the something is. Hmm... Still drinking my first iced coffee, so I’m vegging while I do. Have a great day DiCers...

This was wonderful! And, so true. Yes, things do tend to pop into my head out of nowhere (and by trigger hence the tea bag post), so what the heck, I just go with it.

I can wait...sort of... Take your time, and go at your own chosen pace. We can wait for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Cheesy, maybe, but it’s what popped into my head, so I went with it.

Twice I saw a grown up bunny on my walk. Once on the way it was across the street, then coming home I walked within six feet of it. So cute!

My brother lives there, so I’ve been to MA several times. Have to say, not one city/town I visited during my trips down there gave me pronunciation issues. Just lucky, I guess...

It does, because I tried and I tried, but I couldn’t get it. In fact, I think my attempts at the proper pronunciation got worse the more I tried.

You’re welcome. It should help. I don’t know where it started from but, my dad used it, so it was probably a home remedy from his days growing up on a farm when running to the store wasn’t exactly an option. Edit: It’s the tannic acid , which is an astringent that has antiviral properties that makes this method work.
