  1. Well, now that Ive mentioned it, I’ve probably broken the spell. Oops...
  2. Maybe the reason why will come to you and you’ll be able to shrug it off. Good luck, Fae.
  3. I didn’t know you could work on a holiday. That is, I thought it was a given that everything was closed. Maybe most people think like that too, and your day will be restful. *fingers crossed* Bottom line, you’re a smart cookie for: 1 working the holiday to get OT 2 taking Thursday off so you have a long weekend.
  4. Good morning, rick, I went grocery shopping this morning, and wouldn’t you know it, this is the fourth week in a row I was directed to cashier number 8. Something is definitely up with that, I’m just not sure what the something is. Hmm... Still drinking my first iced coffee, so I’m vegging while I do. Have a great day DiCers...
  5. This was wonderful! And, so true. Yes, things do tend to pop into my head out of nowhere (and by trigger hence the tea bag post), so what the heck, I just go with it.
  6. I can wait...sort of... Take your time, and go at your own chosen pace. We can wait for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Cheesy, maybe, but it’s what popped into my head, so I went with it.
  7. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
  8. Twice I saw a grown up bunny on my walk. Once on the way it was across the street, then coming home I walked within six feet of it. So cute!
  9. My brother lives there, so I’ve been to MA several times. Have to say, not one city/town I visited during my trips down there gave me pronunciation issues. Just lucky, I guess...
  10. It does, because I tried and I tried, but I couldn’t get it. In fact, I think my attempts at the proper pronunciation got worse the more I tried.
  11. I recall that comparison, too.
  12. You’re welcome. It should help. I don’t know where it started from but, my dad used it, so it was probably a home remedy from his days growing up on a farm when running to the store wasn’t exactly an option. Edit: It’s the tannic acid , which is an astringent that has antiviral properties that makes this method work.
  13. Yes it works - been using that method for as long as I can remember. The tea can stay in the fridge for days, and you can use it as much as you want until the cold sore heals. I haven’t had one for awhile, but this remedy works quickly if I remember correctly - like days or less. All depends on how bad the cold sore is.
  14. Just saw a commercial for an all organic medicinal treatment for cold sores. Um, no thanks, I’ve got my own organic treatment and it’s found in everyone’s - well most anyway - kitchen. I bring this up because we were at the cottage a couple of years - so, in the boonies - when my SiL developed a cold sore. I told her about the remedy I refer to above. She tried it, and it worked. Some of you may have heard of this, but for those who haven’t: Brew a mug of black tea then put it in the fridge to chill - or make it strong and add ice to it if you don’t want to wait for the fridge to do its thing. When it’s cold, the tea can be used as a rinse or soaked on a compress (a table napkin works well for this). That’s my two bit advice for the day. Hope it’s been a good one for you all.
  15. I came across this word in a book I was . The MC threw one of the bad guys out of a window, and another MC used that word when describing what transpired. I recall, I was more surprised there was a word to describe this act than of the deed itself. I mean, he didn’t die, and he was a bad guy after all.
  16. I was just going to say, they’re done, but they started up again. Oh well...
  17. What was that I was saying about no fireworks going off? Oh yeah, they weren’t. Guess what? I was wrong, because some were set off last night, and some are being set right now. Oh well, at least they did it before I was in bed, because I remember one year a numbskull set some off around 12:30 a.m. *sigh*
  18. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
  19. I’m not , thankfully, but I have broken stuff now and again. One time I was separating two stacked drinking glasses, and one of them shattered as they came apart. To this day, I have no idea why that happened. Edit: Forgot to add, they did seem a little stuck together, but still.
  20. That’s me: “crash, bang, boom, look out here comes the Aries.” This quote I heard when I was 9 years old. It was in a zodiac sign book a friend of my brother had. Why he had such a book, I do not know, but I’ve always remembered this bit.
  21. I mentioned doing it in a mug, because I accidentally used water that was too hot - not boiling, mind you - and mixing the coffee right in the glass (which had a thick base) resulted in a pinhole crack and leak. Bye, bye glass. Oops...
  22. The Nescafé Gold Espresso mixes okay in cold water, but I find Nescafé Gold regular coffee doesn’t - bits of flakes float in the glass - so I use a bit of warm water with that one as well.
