I have to agree with your logic. Stacy, Maggie and Seth's mom are all Karens! I just can't take them as serious villains half the time because they are so clueless. Mr. Wilbur is a very smart and wonderful man. He knows how to get others to focus the important things he has observed, without forcing James and Dion into a corner. His role in this story demonstrates his love and compassion for others.

First Ronyx, let me assure you that I am loving this story very much. However, this is one of the most messed up cast of characters I have ever encountered in reading. All the families involved range from dysfunctional to extremely dysfunctional. They also seem to be targeted indirectly or directly at Seth. Amber and Roni are only slightly dysfunctional, but enough to foist their cousins off on Seth. Seth's family is also not working well with Seth's mom out to make Seth a slave to Stacy who is probably tied at the top of my list of rotten to the core personalities with Craig. Craig acts like a caged animal that dangerous when he thinks he is begin cornered. That makes him very dangerous. One might wonder how unbalanced his family is. Blake's parents are probably as bad as Craig's family if not worse. Blake is very much like a wounded puppy, and that would make him susceptible to any kindness given him by Seth. That's not a great basis for a relationship. It certainly looks like a chaotic situation headed for something very bad to occur soon. Great writing!

That was some trip into the nether. it seemed filled with firsts. Gavin shows up, they meet Flitch, Flitch gives or shares with them a special kind of vision, and they both end up creating a special lens that is living. After they returned to the normal world, Jamie and Snave make quick work dispatching two highwaymen that insulted the prince and threatened them. That was a hot feet of magic that had the thugs running for their lives. I do like how the boys demonstrate their love for each other. Great start Geron.
