Kayden has definitely evolved from the timid little thing he was when we first saw him in Tears of the Neko. so glad you are enjoying his transformation!
"I missed you, and now you're all mine," Borin was saying, his rancid body pressing up against Kayden's thin, aching one, but Kayden didn't hear him.
'Mine,' a deep voice echoed in his memories, dragging him from the numb, listless place that he'd been retreating to ever since he'd been dragged back into the hunters' camp. The place where he wouldn't feel anymore.
'Mine.'
'Yes, always.'
His mind flooded with images of his master, his lover. Damien. His master leaning over
'Mine.'
'All yours,' the voice purred in his ear. The haunting memory of truth, a conviction he couldn't deny.
Fuck. Damien awoke with a start. A sudden realization of what he should have held on to before--he could tell when Kayden was lying, and he hadn't been when he'd said that: All yours. Kayden had meant it, with all his soul, and Damien had doubted him.

I knew Lanny was up to no good. He's an idiot for listening to his 'fiance' Candy. I was really worried that Michael's knee was going to be really messed up. And, yay!, Kendall finally knows that Michael loves him--even if he's having a hard time believing it right now. Can't wait for more!
"Kayden!"
He crashed through the trees, stumbling over shrubs and bushes, ignoring the spikes of fallen branches and rocks cutting his feet. His eyesight was keener than Nash's but tears blurred his vision, and he could still hear the bigger guard thrashing through the forest after him.
He paused long enough to halt his forward motion and spring up toward the branch of the tree that hung low enough to grab. He darted up one or two more branches before he collapsed against the tree.
