    Chapter 3

Hehe, do you really think it's going to be that easy? Where's the fun in that?

    Chapter 3

Yeah, Damien should know better, but we all know how jealousy can go... Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, as always I love to hear from you!

    Chapter 2

Hehe, Oliver does play a slightly bigger role in this story than the first....
  6. This just made my day! Thank you so very much! I hope you enjoy the sequel!
  7. Kayden followed Damien to their master bedroom after a late dinner, excited to finally be able to spend some time with his master. The man had been working relentlessly over the last couple of weeks, and Kayden was starting to miss their time together. After Damien's brother, Roman Whitmore, had tried to assassinate him a year ago and Kayden had nearly died in the process of protecting him, Damien's attitude had changed. He was openly protective and loving towards Kayden, and Kayden had
  8. Damien led his best friend to the door, feeling better for having had the break to talk with him. Oliver seemed to always be there for him, especially after his father had died, and Damien had pushed him away for so long after that. He was glad that they'd been able to reconnect over the last year. He suspected a lot of that had to do with his young neko lover drawing him out of the depressive state he'd been in for so long. As they reached the front door, both of them cautiously glanced

    Laying a Trap

But aren't the horses the knights? They are on my online games at least. So the piece at kings bishop six isn't a black knight, it's a black bishop. And, even if the king was in check, then the white queen couldn't have just made that move, right?... white would have to have moved the king to take it out of Check, right?

    Chapter 2

Yes, maybe a little too lonely... *grins evilly*

    Chapter 2

Oh, yeah, you'll definitely see them interacting more! This chapter was sort of a necessary plot bridge. I know it wasn't very exciting, but it was needed to establish the scenario that sets up the rest of the story. I promise it should get more interesting really fast.

    Chapter 1

Hehe, funny you mention that. I was so just thinking two nights ago about Kayden running into Ryle in the woods near the mines...

He definitely is. Can't wait to see what you think of this new story! Thanks for reading.

    Laying a Trap

I'm no chess expert, but I think that's a bishop that you are trying to move like a knight. The white king isn't in check yet. Of course I don't know what blacks best move should be...
  15. I agree with Bucket1--I'm biting my fingernails waiting for the next chapter. I was really worried there at first thinking Michael might give up after Kendall's reaction to him, and that Kendall might go running into Chet's arms. But... whew... at least they both didn't do that. And Chet, poor guy, I really like him. He's so understanding, I think he'll be a great support for Kendall when he begins to realize Michael is serious about loving him--in the way he needs. Great chapter as usual!
  16. Lord Damien Whitmore, the Duke of Marsten, sat back in his chair. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he blinked and rubbed his eyes. He hated days like this, when he had so much paperwork to read through and no time to be outside. Glancing at the window behind him, he felt a moment of sadness at seeing the bare window and floor under it. His thoughts strayed to a sleek black tail thumping idly as its owner stared out the window or curled up in the warmth of the sun streaming in throug

    More Snow?

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it. I really like the writing prompts, but I have a hard time with an actual 'short story' with all new characters--I can see it ending up really long. So using my current characters is much more fun right now because I can whip something out pretty quickly. (I will have to see if I can try the individual stand alone short story... but I don't know, I might be too wordy for that!)

    More Snow?

Thanks. I thought it might be nice to share some of those healing moments... if I write enough of them, maybe I could work them into the story eventually. In the meantime, enjoy them! Thanks for reading it and reviewing!

I've never really been much into the 'insta' love or the 'insta' fix, be nice if life actually worked that way, but it doesn't. So glad you liked it! Thanks!
