London seems to be a rational person, and that makes me wonder if his interest in Frost was just as a pacifier for Tallen or if Frost can control aether waves too. Tallen is apparently missing something that London wanted him to have, so maybe that's what Frost has. That would explain why London never mentioned Frost on the phone, 'cause if Frost completes Tallen's talent then he wouldn't want his boss to know, so he could keep them both and beat the system XD I'm loving all the Frost/Tallen updates It's making me curious about the ex-whore (I've momentarily forgotten his name and I'm too lazy to check XD) and his boyfriend/husband, though Thanks for yet another awesome chapter

Yay! Present time Tallen and Frost is my favorite storyline XD. It sounds like Tallen is involved with the gangs Strife met, and that makes me wonder if they ever came face to face Maybe the two storylines will intersect . I'm curious about how Tallen's scars are gone now. They obviously weren't there when he was Daniel, but when he was called Tallen before that they seemed permanent. I'm leaning towards a 'multiple universes' idea, since we've already seen Frost and Tallen outside the Veil, living together (but not together lol). Frost was the one with scars in that 'universe', so it wasn't the same as the one where they met at the orphanage. Since there seems to be multiple Frosts and Tallens, it makes me wonder about if there's more than one of other people, too. Daniel's uncle, for example, reminds me of the orphanage lady's unofficial boyfriend for some reason. OK, I got off topic XD back to this chapter Tallen's necklace made me think of the one type of metal that's still magic in the Veil, and it's possible because he seems to be working with the gangs that gatekeeper kid said could get some of the metal for Strife. Frost's necklace from the group houses with Daniel seems to have gone missing, too, and since he valued it enough that he wouldn't give it to Tallen, I'm wondering if it was that magic metal too. Frost seems to be aware of the world(s) behind the Veil, because of the skirt guy he saw when he was looking at Tallen's mural. Maybe he had to use the necklace to defend himself for some reason . I don't think it's the same necklace, because one of them would have mentioned it if they'd met again after Daniel had to leave the group home. They seem to be able to talk about their pasts now without breaking the rules of their game, but neither has mentioned what came before that group home, so they could be the same Frost and Tallen that were at the orphanage together. It would explain how Frost knows what aether burns are, even though they seem to be something from beyond the Veil. Everything so far can conceivably fit into one 'universe', except for that one scene with Tallen and Frost living together (I'm still pissed that Tallen was married ). That scene screws up my whole mental timeline, and I'm hoping it was just a dream or something XD. I want Tallen and Frost to be together, not Tallen and that random girl lol. Back to the topic of that weird metal, the metal in Frost's/Daniel's mom's ring has never been identified . Maybe that was Daniel's emergency weapon, and after giving it to Frost he needed to get that necklace . This story is one big wonderfully tortuous mindfuck XD it's slowly grown to become my favorite story ever (this chapter made it beat out Comsie's Gone From Daylight XD) Thanks again for writing this! Your writing is a type of excellence that's hard to find XD these frequent updates are spoiling me every time I log on here I'm holding my breath to see if there's a new chapter

Tallen and Frost are the best XD I'm really worried about what's gonna happen to them now, though From the hints Frost has let slip when he's playing 'the game' (as he called it) in the Veil, it seems like the orphanage is gonna be attacked, and Tallen will make Frost leave while he fights That could be where he got the aether burns from, now that I think of it. I'm gonna stop thinking about it now, before I get mindfucked XD. Overall, amazing chapter Even better than your usual quality, and that's really saying something! There was one small thing I noticed, and that was when the orphanage owner (elene or something? I forget XD) was talking to Tallen about the mistletoe stuff. She said "some luck isn't you for", and I'm guessing you meant "for you". Otherwise, it was flawless Thanks for posting this awesome story!

I will happily eat grape flavored ANYTHING, but I hate grapes and I won't eat them XD. I can't stop keeping a beat. I always have a beat in my head, and I tap my feet or drum my fingers to it constantly lol. If I stop moving entirely, I can't think straight 'cause I end up keeping the beat in my head lol. I've already put this one on my bio, but I think it belongs here too I feel way more awake at night than at day, even if I've been awake since morning. Last one: If a slow song is playing while I'm excited, I need someone to be talking so I don't have to listen. It doesn't matter how much I love the song, I'll go crazy if there's nothing to distract me from it. It feels like my heart's beating too fast, and I start babbling so someone will talk XD

This story just gets more and more fascinating It's kept me reading till 5:30AM lol. I really like the change in perspective, and this chapter answered a few questions but raised a hell of a lot more XD. Something tells me this is going to be one of those stories I can't get my mind off. I'll definitely check it out again tomorrow, when I have more 'likes' to give lol.

I'm with Graeme about not being big on re-reading, but if I had to re-read any book/series endlessly, I think I'd choose (not in any particular order): The Kingslayer Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss* The Demon Cycle by Peter V Brett* The Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks* The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks And... The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (because I could waste a lot of time reading that XD) The ones with asterisks are unfinished, so I'd probably be going crazy after a little while of reading those, but they're such good series I had to pick them anyway lol. Edit: damn I hit my 'like' quota again already XD
