Thanks again! I hope it stays interesting in the next chapter XD

Yeah, Skittles are amazing XD. You're right about what to expect, I'll give that much away!

Thanks! I'm glad the last part comes across intriguing and not melodramatic *whew* lol

Thoughts on Evolutionary Biology *Update*
faxity commented on JamesSavik's blog entry in jamessavik's Blog
That doesn't necessarily mean the virus was responsible for the evolution, though. It could mean that, but it's only one explanation. Personally, I think you're right, to an extent. Viruses have probably been the catalyst behind a lot of evolutions, but there's plenty of other factors that must have influenced them too, and there've probably been evolutions that had nothing to do with viruses, too. I can't think about this anymore right now, 'cause I'll end up going on a research spree and I need to get some writing done, but I really like your theory XD -
Chapter Five: The Fire Knight
faxity commented on Hermit in the Cave's story chapter in Chapter Five: The Fire Knight
My mind is full of fuck. There's been so much revealed in this that I don't even know how to deal with it just yet XD absolutely awesome chapter. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was how it was suddenly in present tense lol. it made the differences between Tallen and Frost more pronounced, but the change threw me off, especially since I'm not a huge fan of present tense. Other than that, I loved everything about it, and I'm sure a lot more pieces will fall into place when I can think coherently again XD Good luck with your writing, and with the move . Don't feel pressured about getting the next chapter out XD a little bit of a wait won't kill anybody (I hope ) -
I didn’t make the bus. I wasn’t even close. By the time I’d stumbled back to the school, even the teachers were all gone. I’d had to call my foster dad to pick me up, and he’d been pissed. I didn’t have the energy to care. I couldn’t feel anything past this gaping hole, this emptiness. I realized I’d been staring at nothing, tears leaking silently from my eyes, for longer than I should have. I looked around, finding that I was alone in the car, and it was almost dark. I’d spaced out completely,

Let's Predict the Near Future: uncensored edition
faxity commented on JamesSavik's blog entry in jamessavik's Blog
-A supernova will occur close enough in our galaxy close enough that astronomers can observe it with modern sensors A supernova anywhere in the milky way would be visible, wouldn't it? And besides, they happen a few times every century in the milky way alone, so I think this one in particular is likely -NASA will discover fossils in a manned mission to an asteroid. Is that speculation, or do you know of any planned missions to asteroids? That'd be really cool lol. Still, this is one that I don't agree with. It seems more likely that the fossils would be on Europa, or even primitive life, like your other prediction. That would be amazing XD CERN will announce a modification of the Standard Model theory of Particle Physics based on recent experiments and the confirmation of the Higgs Boson. Expect it to be a melding of the current Standard model with some aspects of String Theory. Ooh, this one would be the best XD Particle theory FTW (it's obviously incomplete, but it seems like a better explanation to me ) -
Thoughts on Evolutionary Biology *Update*

Fascinating, and it makes sense, too XD it's not too often that those two coincide I've always thought that it was just subtle differences in DNA that gradually became the norm because they helped the organisms with that trait to survive, or from sheer good luck XD. I never considered viruses of all things being responsible for evolution, but it's just as plausible, if not more XD -
Thanks! The next chapter should be out tomorrow

Math class was entertaining, but I was afraid this was the last time for the next week. The teacher tended to teach us new content for the first two days of the week, and then review it for the next three. I enjoyed it while I could, and I could tell the teacher was reassured. I was answering all his questions, staying attentive, and I’d cheered up. He might even believe that I wasn’t having any problems, if I kept this up tomorrow. The only problem would be if he checked my attendance. Then he’

Memories of Green and Gold: Longing
faxity commented on Hermit in the Cave's story chapter in Memories of Green and Gold: Longing
Wow, even more new worlds/storylines XD. That one that Tallen was twenty-nine in was awesome I hope there'll be more of that soon XD The one where he's younger (and a drunk) is pretty interesting too, but 'Winter' doesn't suit Frost nearly as well as his normal name. I wonder what Frost's original name was, before whatever brought him to the orphanage happened? I'm assuming that 'Frost' isn't the name he was born with XD Awesome chapter as always! -
I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon XD there's a lot that I have planned for this particular story Nope, no sci-fi here XD there's not gonna be a whole lot of technology at all You don't know skittles? they're absolutely amazing they're like slightly flattened candy spheres that come in different flavors. I'm not sure what a 'skittle' shape would be XD I made [oops, spoiled his name and had to get rid of it XD] say 'pebbles' because that was the only small, off spherical object I could think of that he'd be able to relate to XD. Originally he said 'candy', but Rano caught that (he wouldn't know what candy is XD) Hopefully the next chapter will give a few more answers, and a lot more questions XD

Thanks, Jaro! Hopefully the curiosity will make it easier to empathize with Erin

Their behavior seems normal to me lol. They're unsure of this new element in their lives, and they're afraid of taking it too fast, or making a mistake they can't fix. I know a lot of teenagers like that - you'd be surprised how mature some of us can be. Actually, most people I know would act like that. Sure, teenagers can be crazy, but when it comes to decisions that will affect us for the rest of our lives most of us worry and act just as carefully as anyone else. It's good to hear that it's been more believable up till now, at least XD the whole 'billionaire uncle deciding to take time off work to spoil his nephew' thing seemed like it'd be the point of contention, to me lol. Thanks for the feedback! A&B do get more impulsive in the later chapters, so hopefully you'll enjoy those more if you keep reading

School again. The same old math class, but in reverse week so it was just before lunch, the same boring room, but finally a new topic to learn. I only glanced out the window a few times, and never for long, but nothing caught my eye. Class passed quickly with the new material to focus on, and the teacher gave me a happy smile as I walked out, assuming that my good mood was due to taking his advice. I smiled back and waved, not disillusioning him. I’d slept less than usual, not more, since last F

I sat in my advanced math class, in my usual seat by the window, gazing longingly out into the rain. The soft pattering of the rain mixed with the nasal droning of the teacher, making it easy to tune them both out. The rain was mesmerizing as it hit the roof outside, and I admired the patterns it made in a puddle right by the window for a moment, before looking out over the small slice of the town visible from this second story window, regretting that there wasn’t more to see. I guess that’s

Erin is a seventeen year old guy with an interesting, if sad, past. Unfortunately, the only things that can distract him from that past - a rebel among rebels and a necklace that's not a necklace - end up being the very things that lead him back to it. Erin's curiosity might meet its match with the secret he uncovers, but that might just be a good thing. After all, the past may be set in stone, but the future is what you make it.

No time to review properly, and I'll forget if I don't do it now, but great chapter! I'm happy for Strife XD
-
Wow, either Canaan has changed a lot from this flashback, or Xander is nowhere near back to normal. He's way too dark, and he doesn't seem as angry in Strife's story. I hope he goes back to being like this, 'cause the big bad Wolf is pretty lovable XD. I can't wait to see what he does to the Citadel . Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to reread this weekend, but I'm dying to do it soon These quick updates are amazing the story's gotten way too interesting for waiting to be healthy XD
-
Barely had enough time to even read this, and I really shouldn't be reviewing right now but I can't resist. Just wanted to say the story's getting more and more fascinating, and now I've got a bunch more theories I need to re-evaluate XD. I'll hopefully reread from the start sometime this weekend, and then I'll have my consolidated 'Imprint' theory ready. Thanks for the quick posting and awesome content!

Play 'Same Love' by Macklemore and then prompt a discussion so he can feel out their opinions first XD Really, though, I think a lot of that would depend on circumstance. The 'Mom, Dad, I think I'm gay' speech works for some people (from what I've heard, at least; I'm no expert XD), but for others it might make their parents think they're unsure and prompt them to try some type of 'conversion' O.o . I'm gonna assume that since he had to ask, they don't know about your sexuality already. Is there a reason for that, maybe one he should be aware of? Also, would you be comfortable with 'coming out' with him, to help take the pressure off him? There's too many different variables to give a definite answer to your question, so I'll stick with general advice. Please keep in mind that I've never done this, so this is only coming from logic, not experience. He should probably decide what they'd respond better to: a calm conversation, a confrontation, or any mix of the two. For some people, having it broken to them gently would make them accept it easier, but for others, the shock of walking in on him kissing a guy (for example) could help keep negative feelings associated with the 'g' word (gay) out. Also, is he sure this is the right time? As harsh as it sounds, in some circumstances it could be better to wait until he's safely out of the house and legally responsible for himself before letting them know. Supportive parents could really help him, but pissed off extremist parents could ruin his life. Chances are, if his parents are your siblings then they're not religious extremists, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Sorry if this was really vague XD hope it helps!
