Doing good - he drove to the doctors today and it’s all good. Scheduled in for the next op but not sure about what will happen with the anesthesia - a bit of wait and see. Still has drops to administer

Back home. Much more lucid now the anesthesia has worn off. Still has a pirate patch and no depth sense but that should come off today. It’s not even a real pirate patch, it's clear plastic. And he is stable on his feet. Apparently he can drive from Tuesday so he will take himself to the doctors rooms on Thursday

Dad got admitted to hospital overnight with BP and wobbliness issues It might be a reaction to the anaesthetia but they are keeping an eye on him

Its not that unusual as there are a few mining communities up there. They like to get the isolated people to safer ground

It’s very late in the year so I think is part of why some are unprepared. It looks like it’s heading right in the middle of two major towns. The good news is that they build the houses to a higher standard up north - not cyclone prof but certainly cyclone resistant. Dropped Dad at the hospital and got shoed away... keeping fingers crossed
