    It is definitely suited to pies and stews rather than more delicate cooking. The stringiness might be an issue for wild birds, I have only eaten farmed pampered emus.

    Last night I had very summery dinner with BBQ porterhouse steak, grilled zucchini, mushroom with garlic butter and a nice garden salad. All good except for the mushroom - the butter looked weird when I took it off the BBQ and it tasted a bit strange… OMG Clo would be horrified, I bought a new jar of gourmet garlic sage butter but when I looked at the label (after using it), it was vegan “butter”. It was on the label in the tiniest of writing. Sneaky no good liars I feel robbed

    Internet has been a bit wonky here - it’s not great at the best of times but I think it might be overloaded with the combo of school holidays and the heat making everyone stay inside 🤷‍♂️
