  1. See Who is Alfie Patten?
  2. I don't mind the wet, Cliff. I do feel sorry for people on the east coast if that ever does happen. But frogs? No big deal. I must also say that I am concerned about your plans to climb Cumbre Vieja. I hope your goat feet get you out of there in time. I was more interested in the second disaster Popular Mechanics had on its list. My hometown, Memphis, lies on the New Madrid fault and I have heard all my life about how devastating a quake there could be...bigger than the big one in California. Lot of frog family there. The written record of the 1811-1812 quake, from the very few who lived there at the time, is really scary: The New Madrid Fault System
  3. Well, it seems Cody is out of the picture as far as Eric is concerned:
  4. Cliff James has released Chapter 27 of Changing Lanes. The chapter title is "Drums out of Darkness". Where did he get that? Enjoy reading! Strange - is it not? That of the myriads who Before us passed the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the road Which to discover we must travel too. ~ Horace
  5. This is Alfie Patten: Is he playing with his baby sister? No, he is playing with his daughter. Alfie Patten is a 13-year old father living in Eastbourne, UK. Here is an article from The Telegraph. Is he too young to be a father? Obviously not. It appears money is at stake since two other teenage boys have claimed paternity. (Article)
  6. I was 10 years old. I now think that was unusually young. I may have matured early, but not that early. I have shaved daily since I was 13, if that's any measure. My own sons all matured in their early teens. Kids will think about sex at whatever age it becomes of interest to them. That may be before the hormones kick in. Parents need to stay aware of a child's interests in hopes of having "the talk" at the right time. I suppose kids are developing an interest in sex earlier now. They are certainly being exposed to more of it in pop culture than I was at the same age. I can't really answer the last question. I'll keep an eye on my grandsons and get back to you later.
  7. Retired again? This is what? The fourteenth time?

Just curious, Dom...and if it's none of my business, say so. Is this the same guy you were with recently for about a year...the year when you didn't write anything? As a wise man once said "...maybe over is over and everyone should just deal with it already." If it's over, it's over and you can continue writing for your many adoring fans. If it's not actually over, then Milo may forget what's his name's name again. All the best.
  9. Why not just dismiss it as a goat thing? Or a "blond" goat thing?
  10. Try as he might, Eric has screwed up. He has managed to say just the wrong thing to Jansen. He has shown his lack of commitment to any relationship even before one started. Meanwhile, back in Iran, the General is fulfilling his commitment to his son and the other prisoner. Here's hoping they escape both the Iranians and Scar's plan. Oh, that fable is just that...a fable. No frog is so foolish as to believe a scorpion...or a goat.
  11. Cliff James has released Chapter 26 of Changing Lanes. You may wish to read the Aesop (authorship uncertain) fable The Scorpion and the Frog as an introduction to this chapter. It is the story of the humble, trusting frog...always thinking of others before himself. Classics Illustrated version
  12. By your own definition, it is not a date: If your reputation precedes you, he will know it is not a date.
  13. I noticed that the echidna is in the impact area.
  14. I wouldn't know. Frogs tend to avoid boiling water.
  15. Thanks. He isn't moving. He's going. Or, trying to.
  16. I have a question. Which direction is that goat moving?
  17. I believe that has changed again through a process called "devolution" which returned some power to a Scottish Parliament. I was in Edinburgh on July 1, 1999 when that occurred. It was a big surprise since there was, as usual, so little press coverage in the US. As for the cuisine...I'm trying to be polite...I prefer American despite it's unhealthy nature. I actually liked haggis, but doubt it would be worth the effort of preparing it in a home kitchen. When a group of Americans I was with was offered "prune salad" as an appetizer, I was the only who made that choice. Everyone else was upset when I was served a shrimp cocktail (prawn salad). It's funny how a little thing can color your thinking about a nation's food. I found some of the best English food in pubs. The first time I ordered a salad in a pub, I was served a bowl of lettuce...nothing else, just lettuce. When I requested salad dressing, I was given a little packet of mayonnaise.
  18. Kevin, you make it sound almost erotic.
  19. There are a number of programs which can be used to remove red eye from your pictures. I use PhotoImpression by ArcSoft. Here's your photo retouched:
  20. My butler cracks my eggs. Sorry, I have no idea how he does it.
  21. LOL. Even stale peanut butter may not be safe. Problems at the PCA plant in Georgia started in 2006. Do goats croak?
  22. Brown is beautiful! Kyle Vanden Bosch, defensive end for the Tennessee Titans, wears red contacts when he takes the field. He seems to think they are intimidating:
  23. Daredevil goat! Hope it's still there when you arrive.
  24. Recipe and other info here, Benji. Just to make sure everyone knows, goats are much more delicious than frogs. And, it only takes one to serve a bunch of people.
