Wow , loss after loss for both the boys. The story certainly has taken a darker, deeper turn. The emotion certainly comes through loud and clear. Is a more detailed explanation of the breakdown of Wylie's marriage forthcoming?

When a mistake is made there is often little hope that you're not going compound it. I hope an iron clad pre -nuptial agreement is on the cards.
-
Damn what a shock!! No matter how angry you are , abusing the one you love , by raping them is not acceptable . How could Wylie not know what he was doing to John?? I really liked Wylie , I'm so disappointed in him. This really gives insight into the John of chapter one . As I'm writing this I'm crying my eyes out for what has been destroyed.

A Rolex for Christmas , what more could you want? A family and love , of course . Another fantastic chapter .
-
Wylie has made a good decision. He seems to subtly take the lead in the relationship. I still feel apprehensive. Good family , great Christmas , fun times , all too good? I really hope not.
-
A fantastic story , that ends just where it should. Do I want it to continue ? Of course , but that's just me wanting more of a really good thing. Thank you .

An intense and deeply emotional chapter, once again. The feeling that the boys need to talk is growing, the pretense that they are drunk when these glorious experiences take place is sad. The feeling that some very real pain is about to happen to them is escalating . I'm really enjoying the story . I hope they both come out on the otherside together.

John is surrounded by solid , loving people. How he ended up , so angry and lost in the first chapter is intriguing and a little daunting. I'm reading with an ominous feeling, hoping it's not too bad for either John or Wylie.

The sex scene was great, the realization that John was still John and not a label , better. I know , dad knows and seems quite unconcerned, another really great chapter. Thanks.
-
A heartwarming chapter , I could feel the love and respect in the home and between the people who live there . Precipitous ending!! Thankfully the take is written and my need for instant gratification will be satisfied.
-
The dinner is their most honest interaction yet , they both know it , which is fantastic. Tried and tested wins out in the end though , like it usually does . I am really enjoying the realism portrayed by these boys .

Silence and the subsequent insecurities bred in the vacuum ruin many a great friendship. The misunderstanding is sorted.. sort of! Though the boys are 'coping' they're not communicating either. Another vacuum for another set of misunderstandings ? Thank you for a great read, so far.

A powerfully emotive first chapter , even though the reader had scant fact for the outburst. The second chapter lays more of a foundation , I'm pleased Wylie takes action and hopefully prevents John from alienating himself further. From his presence in the first chapter , we must presume his actions were successful . I'm going to enjoy this story even though I have come to start reading it so late.

Damn , I've caught up! Could we have some more please!

A strong moving chapter , first a re-affirming of family, then an endorsement of the importance of Christmas and the joy of giving, and finally in the bedroom, instead of being crushed by the weight of family history, the men are able to use the history as a foundation to start to build their home. Maria and Julie just can't be beat.
-
Julie is a fantastic nuisance , I wanted to choke her too? But who can fault her when Raymond is able to re-acquire his fathers ranch and belongings he didn't know existed. Looks like the relationship between Daniel and Raymond is setting off on firmer footing. A great chapter . Thank you.

A chapter in which , Johns disquiet is felt from the beginning . Unusually for him he is all over the place with his thoughts , all of which are real and relevant but there is no denying he is avoiding something . I wouldn't know how to act or re-act to the news of the virus that is affecting Dom's mind. Anger, sadness , confusion !! John feels them all and we feel them with him. Having medical proxy over someone , even if you loved him once, who has just kidnapped , drugged and raped you, I think the temptation would be too great for me not to really consider revenge. Really thought provoking chapter. Thank you.

An amazing chapter. From orgasmed religion to hiring mummy's to get herself a sister , Maria is priceless. With Julie on her side I'm sure this spells trouble for her daddies. Can't wait for the showdown with Julie... it's going to be great!!!

Ties between 'found' family are profound and often the most gratifying. Daniel and Raymond have great potential .,, and now they can take it slowly .
-
Oh wow , explaining to Maria how two men get pregnant and have a baby, I can't wait !! Joe for Mayor , you can feel the town moving in the right direction. A great story that keeps getting better. Haven't put it aside for long all day.

Getting clients to stick to bare bones facts can be sheer hell. Speculation , emotion and opinion so often sink a client faster than cement boots. I empathize with Jubal in this regard, and enjoyed your rendition of him as an individual of supreme competence , one to be respected but not necessarily liked. I thought that Paul had sunk the ship with his tirade , but should have known better. At least the sherriff is out of the picture and not coming back.

Really enjoyed this chapter as a tension breaker, even with Jeff in boss mode. Can't help but feel things are going to heat / speed up again quickly.
-
Jeff is insistent on going out to the diner. Julie has advice for all the men. The guys make Melissa's day and show up the Mayor. Things are falling into place quickly and yet you still manage to keep us guessing. I'm glad I'm not having to wait for your next post or the cliff hanger may have irked me!! Fantastic place to stop the action though.

Being ignored and avoided is often so much more painful than an explanation. Damn , especially when there was such a solid reason not to pursue their original meeting . Communication is always the great equalizer , but being human , guilt , emotion and self preservation , more often than not get in the way. I feel Raymond is a big enough character to set matters right with Danny, and that Danny is deep enough to overcome his hurt and go for what may be a dream ( fantasy!!!!) come true. Oh , the sherriff really needs to go.. get him riding off into the sunset, posthaste....., please!!!

A chapter fraught with angst. Good one though. I would go with full disclosure. Having a quiet cleanup would hang over all involved like a dark cloud and has the potential to slowly poison the relationships and family unity for all. Getting it all out in the open may be sooner than they want , but they are a family now and the town will soon figure this out anyway . It has already been intimated that the Sherriff is on his way out , so I would ' bite the bullet' , pull the family and good people of the community together and head for the better future they are already planning. May not be as easy as all that... but hey, that's why you write the story and I get to enjoy it. I prefer it that way !!!
