The Tale of Riley Walker
deville commented on Aceinthehole's story chapter in The Tale of Riley Walker
Keep Riley in Northside, military school would never survive him. -
Revenge is a dish , best served cold, they say. Seems mummy dearest is going to be eating jailhouse food for the immediate future and humble pie thereafter, if she gets out and has to face the community and deal with her husbands thefts. A powerful chapter with a solid ending for the family and Raymond and Daniels relationship.

It's taken some time but Alek is really entrenching himself in decision to live as an out gay man. Though most of his team seem to accept him , to greater and lesser degrees , it's still incredibly difficult not to feel fear when everyone gets to hear it for the first time.

What an explosive end to Christmas, in more ways than one . Fireworks in the bedroom and a riot in town . Raymond and Daniel are great together and seem mature enough to navigagate the personal / professional elements of their relationship with skill. Religious bigotry is always so sadly amusing, their preacher stealing the funds meant to bring joy to the destitute , is really the 'fags' fault. It's insane. Jeff's brother??? Well I'll hang onto the cliff by my finger nails until you save me with the next installment .

Generations apart, different beginnings , different scars , different wars but really the same , it's a small world and when that connection is made the universe expands. An amazing chapter.

Chris is moving into a space where friendship and all its greatest possibilities become probable. I feel Kyle is basically really extroverted and friendly , but that quiet Corey is the dark horse... uhm wolf.

Prompt 579 How can you be so sure?
deville commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 579 How can you be so sure?
A glimpse of a deeper , darker(?) Rob. A great chapter that gently reminds of the depth of emotion between the brothers. -
Well Carter and we are learning chapter by chapter what Cy has been forged into and the horrific acts he is capable of.Carter is right though he is changing , becoming Riley , becoming something more. Owen is a narrow minded egotistical fool , he is about to take a fall .... and I feel it will be a long way down!

Magnificently brave. You do for your love a great justice.

A hard chapter to read. Seems John and Dom didn't talk about a great many things that led to where they ended up. Seems John and Bobby haven't given themselves an opportunity to talk about where they are and where they're going and how they're going to get there together. While Dom was imprisoned John spent many years doing for both , picking them both up but having to pat himself on the back. It must be hard to suddenly have Bobby wanting to fill that roll. I empathize with his feelings of not wanting it right then , but then also desperately needing him there with him.

Principal's Office Madhouse!
deville commented on Aceinthehole's story chapter in Principal's Office Madhouse!
Great chapter , I think Owen and Avery are worse trouble than meets the eye right now. They strike me as too arrogant to learn a lesson from just one incident. I think Owen will sink even lower pretty soon. Owen knew what he said to Riley would hurt Aaron too, but didn't care. Can't wait for a Carter point of view chapter . -
Great Christmas chapter , Paul showed impeccable restraint in his interaction with Rosarita. Even the security detail become family and rightly so. A great feel good read.

Riley certainly is a piece of work, clearly moulded by extreme circumstances and a strong survival instinct. His dedication to changing himself is admirable as is his defense of his family. I hope that he , with the support of Carter , his family and friends can weather the storm that punching Owen can potentially unleash. My expectation is that he will be successful , he deserves it.

Natasha's report is nothing short of criminal , her actions and lies intentional and a more certain crime than any act of Rileys or any other street kid , who has acted in many cases out of neccesity and a need to survive. People like her , unfortunately exist all to often in our youth justice system doing untold harm daily with their sanctimonious duplicity. To falsify such sensitive information is unforgivable .

Well if those in the world who are empowered to won't help you to better yourself, then do it yourself. A little unorthodox but I'm supporting Riley on this one.
-
Two steps backwards , one step forward , quaint , awkward tango . Caught the emotions perfectly . How do you move forward from a monumental mess . Cautiously and sometimes with a little excited dread . If nothing else developes , the re-kindled friendship seems to be off to a solid start.

Not being easy on Zane ..are you? I feel Dex does have a thing for Zane not Ian, Karli just has it wrong or is seeing what she wants to see.

A good beginning , the frustration, doubt and tension was quite palpable.

Gosh what a 'packed chapter' . It's always fantastic to get gifts that are thought out and made specially for you. Raymond and Daniel certainly seem to be building up to something solid , quite quickly, despite a few touch and go moments. Their ability to communicate is developing. 'Daddy' Raymond predicting Daniel's going to be called Daddy , priceless . The feeling of coming home to build a future on the foundation of family history, even though bittersweet, really maked this chapter . Thank you for a great story.

And that's the sum of it all! If you are really honest with yourself, you can't just stop loving a person after having shared so much of your life and yourself with them . John's problem is complicated by the fact that Doms behavior is now proven to be a result of external factors! I empathize with Bobby too, it isn't easy dealing with your partners feelings for someone else while trying to build a new relationship, even knowing that your partner loves you and has for a while. I have a feeling that where the money came from for Doms bar may become an issue.

Almost the longest Christmas in literature , not that I'm complaining , the longer it takes the more I get to read. The deputy , the video and the subsequent confession was a fantastic touch. Becoming Sherriff seems to have created a space for Daniel to grow into his potential and his approach with regard to his interaction / relationship with Raymond has definitely matured. Gotta love Paul's ladies even if he wants to choke them .

Thank you for an excellent story. A really sad but excellent story.

A really long chapter , with an awful lot to absorb. Gordy seems to be intuitively in touch with himself and quite grounded. Wondering WTF happened at the end of the chapter. My sense of foreboding has returned .

Wow , loss after loss for both the boys. The story certainly has taken a darker, deeper turn. The emotion certainly comes through loud and clear. Is a more detailed explanation of the breakdown of Wylie's marriage forthcoming?

When a mistake is made there is often little hope that you're not going compound it. I hope an iron clad pre -nuptial agreement is on the cards.
