Alexandre had awoken the next day in the arms of his built Tomacian lover, and had never felt more secure. He reveled in the man’s warmth as compared to his own chill, and knew that he was more protected there than when he donned any armor. Pulling a groggy Carlin tighter around him, Alexandre reflected on the passion that Carlin had shown the previous night, and Alex had decided that it was okay to let his guard down around the man. For the first time in his life, he felt completely vulnerable.

The rubberized tip of Aemon’s spear jerked past Alexandre’s left cheek, and then shot across in a horizontal line in an attempt to open the face of the general’s son. Haha there are a lot of ups and downs still to come for the two, and the new characters are just another part of that. I'm not sure that I'm going to do a piece from the general's perspective, but we'll have to see I guess. Hopefully you understand why in the next few chapters! Thanks for the review as well!
