Awesomedude is my internet hometown, and if he's as good as you said then he's going to be welcome there. Am I missing the link to this story so we can read it for ourselves?

Episode 4 - The Doppelganger
Cynus commented on Cynus's story chapter in Episode 4 - The Doppelganger
Hopefully the next few chapters will read as smoothly. I hadn't remembered making it so long! Tristan is certainly feeling the pain of losing Zach as well, now more so than ever before. Before, he had hope, but now he feels as you do, that Zach is gone for good. But now Micah and Tristan have the ability to empathize with each other. Both have suffered loss, and both have opened old wounds. They've both had different reactions to losing the people they care about, of course, but it can help bind them together. This is the part in the story where I really started to care about Micah, and he became like the second protagonist. Indrus is definitely to blame. Thanks for the review. -
Changing the bandage was easy, but thinking was not. Peter went through the process mechanically, avoiding Hayden’s eyes as much as he could. With the technology in the medical bay, Hayden had been recovering very quickly, and it was only a matter of time before he’d be walking normally. Ethan had recovered completely a couple days before, and Micah was already up to full health. Soon there would be no need for Peter’s skills, and they’d all be back to their normal lives. Soon. The word reve

I don't think Tristan would mind you feeling sad for him, though he himself might still question it. He's used to the rough life, though now that he's lost his brothers, the rough life is a whole lot rougher. The bed is really a small comfort against the nightmares you observed would be there. Thank you for the review. The next chapter is a long one.

Episode 2 - The Icarus Confederacy
Cynus commented on Cynus's story chapter in Episode 2 - The Icarus Confederacy
I've been told that this chapter overloads people, but I suppose you live and you learn with writing. There is certainly a lot going on, but most of it will be explained later on. I tried to build this as an eclectic group of individuals who ended up together out of circumstance more than anything else. There will be plenty of background revealed in the future, so I think you'll be satisfied. At least, I hope you will be. Thank you for the review! -
He doesn't really seem to have Tristan's best interest in mind, does he? But Faust is the least of Tristan's worries at the moment. With his family dead, his life is over as he knows it, and he's wondering what will become of him next. Thanks for the review.

When I wrote this, a number of author friends of mine were complaining about the cliches, and this idea formed. It was actually supposed to stand alone, but my readers wanted more, and so I continued the story. You see yourself in Seth? Then perhaps we really are related! Seth is one of my characters whom I identify with the most, the only other contender in my online work being Nevala, from Ashes of Fate. I relate to him a lot too. Logan's usually the favorite though, so I'm glad you mention Seth specifically. I look forward to your thoughts on the rest of the series.

I don't know when I'll get around to that, but I'll keep it in mind that there's interest. I still have the sequel to The Navigator to write, as well as a story which has been burning a hole in my brain for the past few weeks. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the review.

I still like to think of Jason as the hidden protagonist, because of how much positive growth he reaches at the end. Thank you for the review, and I'd be happy to address and further questions about the Mormon world if you think of any.

Seth is really easy for me to write. He has so much of me in him, he's likely my teenage avatar among all of my works. Logan is a smart guy, but he is a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. Thank you for the review.

Then it had its intended effect. The story was written as a parody of gay teenage fiction cliches. Thank you for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

They had been hunting him all night and well into the morning, and despite his fortitude he was starting to tire. Micah had kept himself flying until Indrus had taken to the skies as well and tackled him to the ground, forcing him to once again fight with his great uncle who had become possessed by the artifact. Micah had escaped that exchange, although just barely, and had managed to lose Indrus in one of the cave complexes. Only then had he been able to find a small patch of ground to set down

Thank you for reading it, and letting me know how it affected you.

Thank you for coming along for the ride. They should make a tissues emoji so I can offer you one.

Thank you for the review, Drew. You know, in the original draft of the story, Chris wasn't so noble. He was actually the one I intended to turn in the letter, being unable to cope with keeping the secret any longer. He was supposed to be the hidden antagonist, and Jason was supposed to be the one who protected them. Somewhere along the way I decided to go this route instead, and I'm glad I did.

Thank you for the review. I hope your heart is okay now. I want you to keep it for chapter 6. Cool things happen in that chapter.

I've often thought of ghosts sticking to a type of haunting. Some are tied to physical things, such as objects/locations. Others are tied to people, and then there is a third type which is tied to specific conditions (Like Bloody Mary in the mirror). Jacob is in the first group, and so he can only be tied to physical objects/locations, the non-living kind. He has a strong emotional connection to Kurt, sure, but the place where a lot of that connection had been developed in recent years was at the compound. "Familiar" in my universe refers to awakened animals, who become servants to their sorcerous masters in exchange for a bit of heightened sentience. Tavi serves Nevala and is rewarded with the ability to speak and perform tasks no other mongoose should be able to perform. Thank you for the review. Sorry it took me a little while to get to it.

Have you read "Summer Smiles" yet? It was my favorite story before this one, and I like to think it feels just as nice. Also, "The Power of Truth" is another one which came out very well.

It was good to be back in the mountains again, especially considering how busy he’d been with work and school over the summer. Chris Knight looked around him at the scenery and breathed the cool mountain air in deep. The fall colors were in full array, creating an enchanting landscape he was eager to explore. Beside him lay the lake he had come to regard as his second home. He could always come up here for reflection when he needed it most. Coming home early from his mission had been rough a

Well, the actress is really 14, so that should be acceptable.

A very merry day of existence to you.

It depends on what you classify as 'sex'. If you're referring exclusively to anal/vaginal penetration then yes, I am still a virgin. If you're referring to oral, I have a wealth of experience. Penetration isn't really one of my interests, either giving or receiving, though my first boyfriend and I were close to reaching that point for his sake when he passed away. Either way, you're definitely not alone. I have a number of friends my age and older who are virgins, and it simply happens to end up that way sometimes. I would blame it on the culture of sexual repression for the past few centuries which we're only starting to break out of. Hell, the kids I grew up with in Mormonville didn't even know what sex was!

Wow, Tim. I am definitely a fan. It only took me, what, three hours to read this because of life getting in the way? I kept coming back for more, though, eager to find out what was going on. You painted the scenes beautifully, and certainly transported me to the places you described. Marvelously done.

I believe the answer to your Phoenix question is coming up in the text, though I could be wrong. Just in case I am, a phoenix on their first life will age to maturity, and then remain that age until killed by an external source. Tristan counts as one of these. A phoenix who has been reborn will usually age normally. Nevala is . . . special. Micah is definitely trying to change, now, though it may take him awhile. He's had a hard life and has a lot of baggage to sort through. I'll have to keep my lips sealed about Jacob and Kurt. Saying anything would risk major spoilers. Thanks for the review!
