i know we still have 5 weeks to go, and I have faith it will all work out...but why did it have to be Alex? I just hope neither David or Twoey have a pet rabbit, because she screams bunny boiler. -
I didn't have the awful parents of Shane, but my father's place in the country was so far out, I couldn't get phone service up to year or so ago, and since he wasn't in to computers, the dial-up was cut off in the early 2000s, so on visits home, I was really isolated.

All I can feel is that David is making a series of very large blunders. I'm not sure trusting Putin is ever a wise idea. -
Since almost everything has been through Jason's POV, I haven't provided a glimpse into what Shane is thinking, but you're right. Remember Jason may have ended up in a small town, but he did some traveling with his military father, not to mention some experimentation. Shane grew up on a far and headed to a small town university not far away; he, at that time, was basically as clueless as one can get. And don't worry: I do plan to detail what led to Shane's current situation. Thanks for reading.

I know. As a reader, I both love and hate cliffhangers; I didn't plan to end this story there, but as the writing went on, I could tell this chapter would be 10,000+ words. That's funny. I knew Paul Anderson was common, but I didn't know how common! Anyway, I'll have to track that story down. And as for this Paul, he is a good guy (based on a couple of my own cousins that are good guys, too). And I promise that you'll find out exactly what happened to Nikolai by the end.

Mr. Brightside Chapter 8 Jason had been very upset at the end of his junior year when he found out that they were moving yet again to yet another small town. He had settled in at Holly Ridge High; although not really popular, he had made some friends, most importantly Shane. And now, now that he was finally comfortable in a school, his parents were moving again.
