OMG, it isn't very pleasant out there. With the wind, 41 feels like 21, and it's raining. Yuck. I'm going to make us some lunch and hot coffee.

Happy Wednesday. Raining here... no plans to do much other than pop out to keep an appointment. Happy Spring weather! Also, Happy International Bat Appreciation Day. Don't be afraid of bats. i remember walking in the park at dusk and watching them flitting around after bugs. They do great things for us for the most part...put up a bat box if you're able.

Yes, try the Senryu. They are fun, and the alphabetical one you can use with any poem you've already written. I'd written the one for the 12th, but then I saw that prompt, I just did what they said. I did add the word 'to,' but that was the only change. Maybe if we keep mentioning them, the angels will come. Thanks very much Parker!

Happy World Art Day! i like Monet's work, because of the style, but the colour draws me. The same reason i like Van Gogh and the Group of Seven. Also Monday, have a happy one of those as well.

My father wouldn't let my mum throw out anything. So, she'd freeze whatever nasty little leftover it was and then later wrap in newspaper and hide it in the garbage. Me, lots of things are still okay after the expiry date. If it smells bad/rancid, throw it out. Dairy and meat will certainly let you know if it's bad. Don't keep old spices, yuck. Unless you have a restaurant or giant family, buy spices in smaller quantities ... stares pointedly at @kbois 🌶️

Not Charlotte, but Harry lives in the bathroom at the moment. Before we had Robert, he got rather big (I have no idea what they are eating in there), and I had to ask Michael to either kill him or set him free. Michael set him free in the garden. I suppose we'll have to do that with Harry before long. The rearranged one, i just followed their instructions. I simply wrote a poem and then alphabetized it and added a single word to the rearranged version. Thanks for your comments on these two and the others.

Another great chapter. Tension is built by conveying the facts about the building being silent when it shouldn't be and subtly by including Jamie inspecting his weapons; there is just so much in this chapter. Brilliant.

That's lots of cooking. i made a baked oatmeal.. which we had for lunch. Other things are put off until tomorrow when i hopefully feel better than i do today. Dan made dinner.

Great chapter. As @kbois mentioned very much an 'eye of the hurricane' chapter - a small respite before the crap hits the fan. Which happens over and over in Jamie's life. Mike is satisfied in more ways than one, which seems to calm things at home for Jamie. And readers continue to want more - a desired outcome of a good, well-written story!

Poor Jamie. Life is not so simple for police or government employees. They cannot always do as they please and tell their spouses or family anything they want to. I'm sure we've already been through this before. I know my Husband, when he was a police officer, didn't tell me much about his work. The privacy of the people involved in these investigations must also be considered.
