It was good.. really enjoyed dinner tonight.

It's very safe... you just have to change the silcone gasket inside once a year or so. I love mine. It gives me perfect rice, good pasta, veg in in minutes, great stews, chili, stock .. i never buy stock anymore. I love the thing.

Hello spyke ... thank you very much for leaving your thoughts. i appreciate it. It is hard to climb out of that place. i think i am finally figuring it out. it involves an amazing App and embracing and practicing mindfulness. i am glad you are free of it.. thanks again for reading. xo

I have a real Instant Pot .. that's what I'd recommend. They have lots of safety features. We have 2 crockpots as well. Very rarely ever use them now. The IP uses less electricity because it is not 'on' all the time. And i'm cheap.. hahaa

Not sure you'd need two, Reader. I do have two liners .. but just one Pot.
-
we have the smallest one... makes enough for us with leftovers usually

Honestly, no matter how long i soaked them and cooked them, they never came out like they do in the pressure cooker. So i just stopped eventually. Until i got the Pot. So now it makes sense to do them and freeze them.

@Reader1810 If your mom doesn't like the regular red kidney beans... Clic does small red beans I stopped doing my own until i had the Instant Pot... it was just too much boiling. But Clic's are nice and don't come in that lined can. If you need a change from the regular kidney beans you can buy light red ones .. or small red beans. They are not kidney beans but are very nice and tender.

If i haven't made my own from dry ... then i use Clic ... it's a Canadian company and i really like all their stuff. But unico is good too.

Thanks C, Myr and whoever submitted the question. That was very insightful and interesting. I enjoyed reading about the history of this place. And did you overshare? Nah, we had the hottest July in the past 84 years in Toronto, so i get the nekkid on the sofa with the A/C on. It is nice and cool this morning however ... i need a t-shirt and a hot coffee both paired well with this great read! -
Good night all of you lot ... see you tomorrow.

An interesting piece. Written in first person. I felt the characters were a bit under developed and didn't feel particularly sympathetic to either of them. It was also a little rough as it could do with an editor. However, it wouldn't need much. I like the realism here, and I understand that happily ever after just isn't realistic in every story. Thanks for posting this brave piece.
