csr January CSR Discussion Day: Silverwolf by Wayne Gray
Mikiesboy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Wayne and i talk often about stories we hope to write, want to write. He has some great plans, I hope come to fruition because I want to read them. It's hard, because people tell you they want more of the characters you love. But sometimes to be true to ourselves, we need to write something else and leave those beloved characters where they were. But, sometimes they call to you ... so you never know what you might get .... -

csr January CSR Discussion Day: Silverwolf by Wayne Gray
Mikiesboy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Wayne is a brilliant writer and an equally brilliant human being. I am grateful for him and his work. Silverwolf is a terrific twisted take on a genre that was/is getting done to death. Wonderful characters all of them. I don't think more cider is required for him to write a second part. If you haven't read Wayne's other work, do. His work is engaging, real and emotional, you won't regret it. -
Photographs and Chocolate Cake
Mikiesboy commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Photographs and Chocolate Cake
You're very kind, thank you. And thank you for choosing to read Don and Louis' stories. I appreciate it. And it doesn't matter you choose to read something. That is the wonderful thing about stories and books ... they are waiting for us to find them. Thanks also for taking the time to leave a comment, it made me smile on this cold morning. -
A beautiful and engaging chapter. Troy is at the bottom of the barrel and Grant is there extending a helping hand. Reaching for that hand is huge. That place is dark and scary but it's yours ... and trusting and leaving it, it's massive. Beautifully written, Wayne.

i think once we have been around for awhile, we all come to the table with 'stuff' and issues. All of us. If we are mature we know this going in. Since SP has been smoking outside already, he doesn't need to be told to do it. Maybe just tell him you appreciate that he does. Learning to live with other habits and 'things' requires patience and understanding. i know because my Husband puts up with me! But it's worth it if you are happier with him, than without. i wish happiness for you both!

I tend to write poetry based on what I see and do. It helps me remember a feeling, immortalize an event, or cope with the indescribable. That is what poets do ... how they relate their worlds to others xo

Yesterday morning I was hungry ... and there they were. Only a week old, what's the harm in that? Plenty. But i ignored my little voice of reason ... Looking good there on my warm breakfast plate Heated to a glistening perfection Finishing with a picante hot sauce —ahhh they are the rice noodles of my dreams I scoffed them with great gusto and desire Their flavour was fine and the smell the same I went then with nary a thought again Nary a one until that evening’s meal When the

i understand Troy's pride even while in the worst of situations. When you've lost everything, that's all you have left, your last scrap of pride, and dignity. And it feels like Grant doesn't get it. But maybe you need to live it before you truly can understand what that feels like. i know what it cost for Troy to take that meal and ask about the van. nice work, Wayne

This chapter is among my favourites. I like the discovery and emotion. They make me snicker these characters and that's what we're going for. Glad you are enjoying it.
