The first is sad and full of loss .. but written with love, care and a mournful heart.
The second ... life is a legion of spectres, ever marching onward while leaving our ghosts in their wake.. One day we each will follow on behind them. But there are always new generations who will, like us, live and die. Nature cares not for our feelings.
More and more we become afraid
Of the invisible killers that haunt us
But instead of it bringing us closer
The microscopic force us apart
We hide and wring alcoholic hands
Praying that no one sneezes our way
Will we get it, will we, will we?
This disease strips us away
We profit from our brother’s fear
Grasping and greedy we fight over loo roll
And still it comes; droplets on the air
Little do we have, but soap t
Admitting you f'd up, and lied is hard. I know only too well. I haven't forgotten how that felt. I disappointed people who trusted me and who graciously forgave me. So, i get it.
Nice chapter, Wayne.
BB, i am sorry this is so very late! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was a joy to write but a lot of work as well. AC asked a lot of questions which i had to go back and write the answers to ... his vision helped make this story so much better.
Thanks for reading and for your comments. xo
I can see the opening scene for the next one ... will i write it? ... maybe, but i need more of story to sort itself out first though
Thanks for reading, Rigby ... I enjoyed your comments!
we can only work at home because we work online, no calls .. we've all had to set up a VPN .. and they gave us tokens. what they will do with the phone reps i dont know.
The world should just stop for two weeks.. travel especially.
Well we've been told to bring out laptops home and back, and home and back until they decide we should work from home or not. Pain in the backside. They didn't close the place when 2 people at our place had SARS ... they stayed home, staff didn't.
mmm ... like creeping fog ... gathers at your ankles and slowly covers you 💖 <- is for you ... not how you feel. i am always told to be for a couple of days and then try to see the light again, find the way out slowly. Each of us learns how best to deal with it. hang in there.
Haha, poor Stravor ... he was controlled ... and so yes the poor guy was a robot. It was both a lot of fun and very damned hard. I am grateful to my editor who loved the story and and asked me lots of questions that needed answering. This has been to date the hardest thing i've written. But all the extra work making things right was worth it. Thank you for your wonderful comments.. i am grateful!
Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive (Sir Walter Scott) ... we get caught up in our mess and Grant is feeling the pressure.... good chapter, my friend. xo
Well written as always.
But ... and this has nothing to do with the writing ... but i'm not sure how Arnold could live with what he did. Murder is murder and at least to most of us, wrong. However, humans are very good at deceiving themselves ...
Excellent story.
