Thanks, mayday. You're right, no matter how much the boys love each other... Max may not be happy there.. time will tell ...
  3. Fitness centre is good ... relying on wine is not.
  4. i don't personally think it's vanity which is an excessive need to be praised, no more than i think that where i work or here at home. everyone wants to know they are doing a good job. At work, i can tell because they pay me and my numbers are high. At home i know when my Husband says, thanks for the great meal, or i love you. So comments and reactions are the only way we know there that things are good, or are working.
  5. i'm an 'on call' masochist ... LOL
  6. Very nice. Michael is sadist. i am not a masochist. However He gets into this place ... where He will say, I want to hurt you.
  7. How does BF feel about that?
  8. hehe so does a wooden paddle or nice loaded flogger ...
  9. doldrums plural noun | DOHL-drumz Definition 1 : a spell of listlessness or despondency 2 often capitalized Doldrums : a part of the ocean near the equator abounding in calms, squalls, and light shifting winds 3 : a state or period of inactivity, stagnation, or slump Almost everyone gets the doldrums—a feeling of low spirits and lack of energy—every once in a while. The doldrums experienced by sailors, however, are usually of a different variety. In the early-19th century, the word once reserved for a feeling of despondency came to be applied to certain tropical regions of the ocean marked by the absence of strong winds. Sailing vessels, reliant on wind propulsion, struggled to make headway in these regions, leading to long, arduous journeys. The exact etymology of doldrums is not certain, though it is believed to be related to the Old English dol, meaning "foolish"—a history it shares with our adjective dull. Do you have these ... if so, what are ya gonna do about it?
  10. We got home, after stopping for hamburgers at Johnny's. We'd made ourselves hungry talking about them so much with Max. I hadn't finished all my strawberry milkshake since I'd been driving. I was just getting out of the van with my precious drink in hand, but to get the ramp out, I placed the cup on the ground. "I'll hold it for you, Lous." "Um, yeah no. You'll drink it." Don just blinked at me. "Nice!" "Don't give me the big innocent eyes, everyone knows the truth!"
  11. Good night DiC-a-roni's !!!
  12. yep ... don't believe in muses ... when i'm stuck, i write a poem, or take a walk, describe what i see but i write anyway. Only ever post complete works ... and not immediately... my present story has been finished since August ... they need to sit alone and unread, so you can see it with fresh eyes.. after editing. Then you'll edit it some more and give it to your beta reader. Write stuff, but never toss it. Save it because sometimes after you write that first chapter and you dont know what to do ... you are still writing it in your head. And one day it will all be there...finished except for the typing. Real creative writing is hard, lonely work, but you already know that. Muses, smoozes ... it comes from us... and only us. all the best...
  13. yeah interesting is good ... so is different... to me interesting + different = brave ... something i find rather important if you're going to write.

  18. being homeless/a street person, means you are something to be wiped off ... very few ever show crap respect and that's what we were to waaaay too many people, droughtquake. different kettle of fish altogether. here no one knew my past until i told them.. and it was in my poetry... that's what i posted first.
  19. seriously?? LOL Well i suppose it is possible. But why bother? We've had changes at work recently and there is all this talk about how to manipulate the system to get a better customer satisfaction rating ... i just said, too much effort to cheat, it takes too long. My Csat is 94 to 98% by me just doing my job properly. So, my point.. come and be part of GA, write, read, comment, talk.. join in ... and see things get better. And now, since i am repeating myself.. I'll just shut up.
  20. in part - but maybe it is me. maybe it's who and what i am, but my thinking is, if you want respect you have to show it to others first. especially if you are new on a site.
