AC Benus is an amazing poet, as is Parker Owens...i have 8 books of poetry on GA ... there are many others. AC has written and is relaunching a online course designed to help you improve as a poet. Haha. Badger and Clyde have their own personalities, which i hope comes through in later chapters. They, like Mersey before them, are not 'just' generic horses.

You're right, of course, since you do this all of the time. And Don, being the athlete he is may have had an easier time because of his mindset. The horses themselves are Canadian Horses. Badger and Clyde are not pure enough to breed so are gelded. I did lots of reading and thought this breed would be one Don and Louis would choose, as they are Canadian and they seemed like solid, basically good-natured animals; like us Canadians ourselves. LOL.

Thanks for your input. There were six years since the end of Changes and Changes, Again we are not privy to. We will have to assume all that was necessary happened during that time. I did research this to some extent and also had input from someone who does similar work, and has horses of their own. While the horses are important in the story, they are a small part of it and so i didn't want to add huge amounts of detail about it.

Well, i don't care what other people think, to me you're a real person. i talk to you daily and i don't care who you sleep with, kiss, or hug. It doesn't matter to me if you wear 'girls' clothes or 'men's' today and change your mind tomorrow. Wear your binder and chosen clothes as you feel because no matter what you decide to do with your outsides, you are still you. Some people didn't like when i said i'm a submissive, gay man. Lots of people just embraced me. Some didn't. That is too bad for them. They can erase me from their lives ... but that doesn't erase me. You cannot be erased unless you allow it. i don't allow it. i am me ... and you are my friend, Thorn. That's all. And that is wonderful. xo- 20 comments

Thanks, spikey. You will get more, i promise. Thanks for sharing that about your dad. That must have been difficult; a challenge borne out of love and duty. As you say, Louis has done this before. In the last book, Don told Louis, that being the patient was the easy part (to some extent). So Louis is being thrust back into the carer role once more but now he has the house, horses, his job and possibly a new foster kid, as well. There will be more for poor Louis ... his is a long journey. Thanks for reading this and for your wonderful comments. I do look forward to reading them all. xo

Don can walk a bit with the aid of crutches, but not for long periods and well, running? No, that's not going to happen. Maybe that's why he enjoys horseback riding ....

Louis' memory of the place does make him feel ill, this time is worry of now intensifies it, as you mention. I think Don is just one of those people, who is natural and comfortable with nearly anything and anyone, while Louis hangs back, happy to let Don lead for the most part. Maybe Don remembers his own belly from when he was younger. Louis has a ways to go yet. Thanks so much for your excellent comments and for reading. I greatly appreciate it.
