  1. yep ... don't believe in muses ... when i'm stuck, i write a poem, or take a walk, describe what i see but i write anyway. Only ever post complete works ... and not immediately... my present story has been finished since August ... they need to sit alone and unread, so you can see it with fresh eyes.. after editing. Then you'll edit it some more and give it to your beta reader. Write stuff, but never toss it. Save it because sometimes after you write that first chapter and you dont know what to do ... you are still writing it in your head. And one day it will all be there...finished except for the typing. Real creative writing is hard, lonely work, but you already know that. Muses, smoozes ... it comes from us... and only us. all the best...
  2. yeah interesting is good ... so is different... to me interesting + different = brave ... something i find rather important if you're going to write.
  3. Interesting ...

Thank you, Mr. Google. sorry about your bed last night, but really, i was just thinking of any time ... hehe
  6. hehe my maternal grandparents were English.. grandmother from Leeds and grandfather from Leicester.
  7. being homeless/a street person, means you are something to be wiped off ... very few ever show crap respect and that's what we were to waaaay too many people, droughtquake. different kettle of fish altogether. here no one knew my past until i told them.. and it was in my poetry... that's what i posted first.
  8. seriously?? LOL Well i suppose it is possible. But why bother? We've had changes at work recently and there is all this talk about how to manipulate the system to get a better customer satisfaction rating ... i just said, too much effort to cheat, it takes too long. My Csat is 94 to 98% by me just doing my job properly. So, my point.. come and be part of GA, write, read, comment, talk.. join in ... and see things get better. And now, since i am repeating myself.. I'll just shut up.
  9. in part - but maybe it is me. maybe it's who and what i am, but my thinking is, if you want respect you have to show it to others first. especially if you are new on a site.
  10. Thank You, very much, Sir. This was a challenge. it was harder than i thought and sometimes just had to stop. Then i was over the moon when i saw that i had the word Fawn in my 'a' list of words and Doe in the 'b' list!! Thanks again Sir, for reading it and for Your comments...
  11. Thanks very much A.. i appreciate you reading it and your insightful comments. xo
  12. Thank You, very much, Sir. i really enjoyed all of it, even when i was grumbling.
  13. Nothing to do with my nationality, it's the simple truth.
  14. i've had some crummy virus since Dec. 22 ... goes.. comes back... i hope yours goes too and the munchkin doesn't get it xoxo
  15. Possibly you're right about the pattern ... but i'm not sure. i part of it is.. well, i speak for myself here ... i put effort into this site and a lot of people on it. So do you, so do lots of people. i think you get out of it, what you put in .. and if you only come here to deposit your story, you may not get the attention you think you should. If you come there and join in, read, comment and let people know you're here and interested, you'd likely get more attention. That's just my opinion and my experience, here on GA.
  16. people think tiny dogs don't need training .. Ripley walked nicely on his leash. He was carried for a few weeks when Michael got him because .. i'm not exactly sure .. something to do with heartworm and the pup not being old enough to get the vaccine. So Michael paper trained him and the vet told him not to let him on the ground where there are other dogs till he was old enough for the vaccine.. or something like that. But after that.. he was a dog and he walked. But after that Ripley unpaper trained himself and refused to use them...and always 'told' you when he needed to go out. He'd bring your shoes or sit on the top step and whine at you.
  17. Well, from what He told me that's about right ...lol .. i mean when i met the dog he was 17lbs and would go on doggy tears around the place.. i guess he did that as a pup too. Michael said He was always afraid he'd step on him or something.

Nice chapter, and now ... i'm sitting here listening to the wind howling outside (it's sunny and 9:21am) and i am thinking about you, C .. naked in bed with some lovely hot guy and wondering how often you have said, "Goodnight, my angel?" These things just cross my mind ...
  19. poor lil thing...it makes me sad because they do get attached, they are not robots or stuffed toys with no feeling and people just get rid of them. it breaks my heart. getting any pet is a commitment, not just until its too much trouble for you. i remember Michael telling me when He first received Ripley ('gift' from His mom) what a lil horror he was. Michael is so big and this lil pup so small it could get under the sofa... and he used to bite. Michael said "Jesus i wanted to send him back!" But that is not my Husband.. but i can just imagine Him trying to get this tiny thing out from under the couch. i wasn't around then but i would loved to have seen that LOL
  20. Maybe BF (will you give him a name one day...poor BF!!) can demo to flatmate or FM ..lol, what to do with doggy?
  21. Awwww, feel better renee! xoxo
  22. Before i posted anything here...other than poetry, i read people's work. i chatted and made got acquainted with people. i commented on other's stories. i made friends and a place for myself. i joined in ... and it makes a difference.
  23. well... i am gonna wander off to bed ... good night
