“Aiden, we’ve tried every variation of that code. It didn’t work. I think he was having fun with us. The computer’s encryption’s pretty damn good, but the tech guys will eventually crack it.” “It isn’t a code to unlock it, Alpha. It’s a location.” The pack leader stared at Aiden. “Okay, talk me through what you’re thinking. Those numbers don’t work as map coordinates. We tried that.” “I may not understand this guy, but we’ve developed a rapport. There’s something important to find,

Thank you Smoothy. Always nice to know I can improve someone's work day

Thank you so much, LadyDe! J-P becoming likable was more an accident than anything, but one I'm happy I made. I had fun with his conversations with Aiden and decided that was more his true nature instead of the ruthless business/gang leader. While he's engaged in countless acts that would make most want to end his life, like a gem stone there are different facets that reflect things differently.

Thank you Centex! This was one of those chapters I was a little nervous about, considering how well liked the last one was. Now I can start breathing again I thought about a honeymoon to a warmer location or someplace they could go wolf for a while but decided a nice little two or three day get away was best for now. Seeing winter pictures of the falls, it is someplace I would love to visit and it is considered a romantic destination any time of the year. Aiden's step grandfather (in my mind at least) had to be accepting since he would have known about Aiden and I couldn't see Craig stay as Beta for a man that wouldn't accept his son. To me it was important to have him go to the wedding, especially with him being an Alpha. I'd say the Security Director is still trying to figure out the reports on the mystery wolves, but as he thought to himself, that information isn't something he would give for others to make use of.

Thank you CG. I think I had google maps open in the background the entire time I was writing about the trip to Niagara Falls. After seeing the pictures of it both frozen and running, I'd love to see it a couple times through out the year. It's been fun to build Alex and Nathan more into the pack. While they do have a business to run and everything their doing is good advertising for that, they are also trying to give back to the community.

I'm kind of surprised no one has asked this sooner. The three are not true mates like Aiden and Ethan, but they are more than fuck buddies. All shifters have a true mate somewhere in the world, but not all will find them. If they don't go out into the world in search of their mate the best they can hope for is falling for someone the old fashioned way and eventually imprinting on that person. Best I can describe the three is building into a polyamorous relationship. There is a romantic aspect to what the three have with Cody being the primary link in the group, but regardless there are strong feelings between each of them. In a way it make sense that the one who would be Aiden's enforcer and Ethan's chief protector would become involved with the two that are also tasked with protecting Ethan and Aiden.

Turning towards their friends and family, the newlyweds’ cheeks blushed from their extended and heated kiss. The guests cheered, clapped, and whistled after the judge presented the couple. Ethan tried to contain his excitement as snowflakes formed in the air around him. They doubled in numbers as his mate leaned in for one more kiss, causing additional cheers and catcalls from their friends. Aiden dipped his head in respect to the pack elder and extended his hand. “Judge Vale, thank you so m

Thank you JT. I wish all chapters were as fun and easy to write as this one

Thank you so much, JACC.

Thank you CG. Some chapters are difficult to write and some flow effortlessly and almost write themselves. This was one of the easy ones. The hardest part was trying not to over do it. I'm not sure if I will eventually make them parents, but the offer they received opens their eyes to the possibility that they can have that in their lives as well.

Thank you ILike The snow scene gave a level of relaxation and play that they all needed. Time with the people that matter. Kind of like Aiden and Ethan, I went back and forth between a winter wedding or waiting for spring. I'm all for an island getaway

Thank you Centex. This was a fun chapter to write. Everyone taking the time to enjoy the snow and their friendships. I had been debating for a while what to do with Gaelan. I'd written in previous chapters that the pack didn't use a death option lightly when dealing with people and only as an absolute last resort, not to say some of the rogues taken prisoner won't meet that fate, but when it was needed Gaelan stepped up and helped the pack, so he deserved a second chance. I think they would both make wonderful fathers, but only when the time is right and they've had a chance to grow. They have both had an active year and becoming parents as Ethan said is too soon. I started writing the wedding scene as one part, the more I got into it I decided it had to be broken up as I was having too much fun with the parents, especially Aiden's Dad, giving them a hard time.

The season’s first snowfall arrived shortly after Thanksgiving. It was only a few small flakes visible as they blew around illuminated by streetlamps. By morning, trees were blanketed in white, and the storm showed no signs of letting up. Ethan looked out the kitchen window and could not believe how beautiful everything was. The change from the previous day was dramatic. A good eight inches of brilliant-white fluff covered everything and more kept falling. It was the first snow in several years

Thank you Northie. In a way I was sad to kill off Michael, but it was his time.

Thank you Centex It always had to be Jackie that removed Michael. It would have worked if the Alpha did it, but it really needed to be her. Even though I didn't state it in the story, Jackie was the one to decide that Michael would be placed with the unknown wolves instead of with his ancestors. The former feral get the most attention at Thanksgiving, but it was also the pack wolves that had decided to live with the newcomers so they felt like part of the pack, but you're right, the pack opened its arms and hearts to those that were cured and in return along with their now pack mates did all they could to honor Jackie and the Alpha. Ethan was wanting to make jokes to avoid the thought of needing security and although he's seen the others naked anytime they've shifted into their animal form, it's something he always enjoys, just like they all do. I would say the four others had as much fun stripping Ethan as Ethan did having it done to him. There might be a slightly different version of that scene floating around my computer, but I doubt it would ever see the light of day Jean-Pierre is a survivor. He also sees great potential in Aiden. Will he try to use that to his advantage or for his survival from the Council? The code could be for any number of things. Like he said, Aiden would know when and how to make use of it.
-
Thank you CG The pack loves the Alpha couple and is particularly devoted to Jackie, mostly because she does take on a motherly responsibility towards anyone that needs it. Knowing she was hurting, everyone wanted to do their part to help. I had fun with Ethan getting stripped and I'm just going to leave it at that for the moment Jean-Pierre is kind of like a cut gem stone. There are many facets to him, some may be evil while others are not. He did engage in a lycan slave trade as well as kidnapping, extortion, etc, but that isn't all he is. It remains to be seen now much of those activities were his own design or that of others.

The thunderous growl was the first indication something was very wrong. Those close by watched in stunned silence as if a movie was unfolding before them. Michael turned towards the roar, his face etched in terror. Jackie’s paw, tipped with razor-like claws, crashed down as quickly as she raised it, finding its mark as her son passed. His head spun to the side with a sickening snap as her claws raked his neck. If the damage from the claws had not been significant enough to prove fatal, his neck
